Harry’s, a long-time favorite for business lunches across the street from my office, left me utterly disappointed today. We had chosen it for a lunch with a vendor, but the experience was far from satisfactory. I was hesitant to share my feedback in person due to the presence of colleagues and a vendor, but I believe it’s important to be transparent. I attempted to call your number twice, but it remained unanswered. I have emailed you, but you guessed it, unanswered.
First, I ordered an unsweetened tea, but it arrived sweetened. While it was a minor mistake that could be overlooked, it was compounded by a series of other errors.
When we ordered appetizers, someone in the group suggested shrimp and said shrimp cocktail, but then corrected it to fried shrimp. When the appetizers came out, we ended up with both fried shrimp and shrimp cocktail. This was another mistake that could have been overlooked if it weren’t for the overall chaos.
I was not confident that our order would be correct at this point. I made sure to clearly state that I did not want blue cheese on my salad and asked about other cheese options. I was offered Parmesan, which I selected. However, my salad came out with blue cheese on it, which was not a surprise at this point. I had to send it back because I don’t like the taste of blue cheese.
The waitress took away the salad and brought it back, but they had simply taken the steak off of one salad and put it on another, and it was still covered in blue cheese. At this point, I was incredibly embarrassed and chose to simply eat around the blue cheese.
To add to my disappointment, I had to ask for more drinks and reminded them that I had ordered unsweetened tea. Of course, they brought me sweet tea again.
Jokes were made around the table about how awful this experience was.
This was just a series of errors that made it difficult for me to enjoy my meal. I had hoped to speak with a manager on the phone, but after multiple calls and rings, you did not answer.
I hope you will take these issues into account and make the necessary corrections to ensure that your customers have a better experience. If I had these issues, then other people are likely having them and choosing not to go to Harry’s. I had hoped to share this feedback with you so that you can prevent this from happening...
Read moreMy fiancée and I went here for brunch on Sunday around 12pm. There was plenty of street parking available at that time. We were greeted shortly after walking in by a very pleasant young man who offered us to either sit up top in the bar area or below in the dining area. We chose a booth in the dining area which was very comfortable and it had plenty of space. It wasn’t noisy despot it being packed in the bar area and sports were being shown on the tvs. For appetizers my fiancée had the firecracker shrimp which she said was amazing and I had the tavern tini which was phenomenal! For entrees my fiancée had the chicken and waffles with cheddar grits and I had the French toast with cheddar grits. Those grits are some of the best I’ve ever tasted and so filling! I really wanted to try the black label burger so I ordered that to go and we shared that later on for dinner at home. It was absolutely delicious as well. We also had pineapple mimosas, we opted to get the whole bottle as it was a better deal…okay okay we had two bottle but it was brunch after all lol. I highly recommend trying out this restaurant if you haven’t, you will NOT be disappointed. We decided this is going to be our new brunch spot, we can’t wait to go back! Oh and brunch is from 11-3 so you have plenty of time to get in there and you also have the option of ordering lunch if you don’t want the brunch. If I could give this restaurant more than 5 starts I would. The food was made to order, hot, fresh, and very rich and fulfilling. Oh and our waitress (young African American woman) was the nicest and was very knowledgeable of all of the food options. I hate that I can’t remember her name, but in the words of Jamie Foxx, “blame it on the...
Read moreHad a great first experience at Harry's Grille & Tavern last weekend. We were greeted and seated right away, the hostess was very pleasant. We were a family of 4 2 adults and 2 children. Looking at the menu and making a decision was tough as all the options looked amazing. We started out with the pimento appetizer and sliders. I have never experienced pimento dip before, this appetizer was wonderful and a large helping. We had to get 2 extra orders of pita chips just to finish. The sliders were great as well, served with a rosemary au jus that was the perfect touch. I ordered the Bison meatloaf and decided to be daring and added the brussel sprouts. My daughter ordered the cajun pasta and my son a ribeye. Food came out quickly and plentiful! Everything was amazing, I highly recommend the sweet potatoe fries as well...perfect crunch and breaded with vanilla. We had a visit from the manager to our table, his name was Casey. Asked us how everything was, checked to see if we needed anything at all. We indicted it was our first visit and made sure to let us know if we needed anything to make sure the staff knew. I finished off the evening with creme brulee, definitely the icing on the cake. They have a great wine list as well as cocktail list and my kids enjoyed wondering around checking out pictures of all the different Harry's on the wall. The staff was great, the menu selections were great and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Harry's Grill & Tavern! We will be back and I am already talking it up as a great place to dine! Thank you Casey and staff for a very pleasurable...
