Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in Charlotte

I had to take a moment to write this brief review because good customer service and kind people are so hard to find nowadays. So, tonight (5/12/25) I rushed into Hungry Howie's around 9:50 PM (just 10 min before closing) due to me getting side tracked at work and losing track of time. A gentleman (he looked like a manager) greeted me warmly with a smile. I apologized for coming in just 10 min prior to closing to order food, but explained that I was working and lost track of time. He was so kind about it and ensured me it was no big deal. He basically said no worries and said, "We close at 10". So sweet. Then when I came back just 10 min later to pick up my pizza, the girl who gave me my food was also so sweet. The pizza was perfection and piping hot! Ordered a sandwich which was never delivered. The driver stated they got an influx of orders all at the same time which I understand but he sat outside my house for over 5 mins and didn't come over until he saw me outside looking at him. He stated that my order had been lost. I asked to cancel the order which he never did. Upon calling today, they said they could not refund me but would comp my next sandwich. On Saturday 6-13-20 at approx. 7pm I tried ordering 2 pepperoni rolls with extra cheese. The person taking the order said that he was unable to do it and that if I wanted to he could add cheddar cheese instead. I told him its ok if he charges me the extra for cheddar but I want mozzarella instead. He said he still couldnt do it so I asked to speak to the manager and she told me the same thing.
