I have loved this place for years. I no longer live in Charlotte so I don't get the pleasure of eating there often. I was so excited about eating at this restaurant. I ordered my food and when it arrived I took a bite and noticed something missing on my plate. I finally spotted my waitress and she went to who I think was the manager. The manager came over and told me that they were out of the one item missing on my plate. I asked her to take 1/3 of my bill off. She said that was ok. She came back a few minutes later and started removing my food from the table. I asked her what was happening? She said after removing 1/3 of the bill I could no longer have my sides without paying full price, that would have cost me more than the original plate! The manager blamed the waitress! The kitchen should have told the waitress they didn't have the food that was ordered. The restaurant tried to send my food short hoping I would not notice. Then I asked the manager for a menu so I could order something else. She said "alright". She never came back but kept circling around me, in full view. I finally, after 15 minutes, saw the waitress. I asked her about a menu. The manager proceeded to come tell me she thought the waitress took care of it. The waitress was no where near us when the manager said she would bring a menu. I finally got a menu, waited 20 minutes. No one came to take my order. Then when I asked for the bill, other people had ordered, the waitress asked if I wanted to order food, lol. then when I received the bill they had not removed the food I had ordered and never received! Read moreWe went to Landmark diner on New Years Eve last night. It was not busy, and we called ahead to explain that we had a show to attend after dinner. The waiter started off with an attitude when he took our drink order. Then, when we were ordering our food, he said he had to make sure to tell us that because we're from New York, he has to say that splitting a meal was an upcharge. We have no problem paying extra, we said. Then he refused to refill our drinks when we finished them. Then, after he brought the food, he was rude, and what else do you people need? We after the 10th time, he was rude, spoke to the manager, and said, "Could we please have a new waiter?" Then the waiter walked over and said I don't need your tips. We were shocked. The manager came over and assigned us a new waiter. The old waited went to the table he had closest to us he was making fun of us with other patrons. We then just left the table and went to pay. We explained that we are constant patrons of this restaurant. We went there because we wanted to show friends from out of town a good meal. Read moreMy family and I visited Landmark on Sunday, 8/25/24. At the door, you are greeted with a large display of assorted desserts and pastries - I guess this is how they “hook” you. The menu offers your average options that are found along most Greek diners, with the exception of a few items.
We waited roughly 15 minutes for our plates to arrive. My daughter ordered fried catfish that was not cooked thoroughly and ended up making her sick, my pork chop plate came accompanied with 3 long black hair strands that the waitress seemed to overlook- I sent it back. My father ordered a medium steak and it came medium-rare, and lastly, we were seated in an area where I witnessed them cutting large portions of cakes, pies, brownies, etc with wet knives taken from a bucket of dirty water. - They never bothered to use a towel to wipe the knives dry/clean.
With all of this, the waitress removed the catfish from the bill, but didn’t offer another food option, and I ended up paying full price for my pork chops after waiting another 10 minutes for the 2nd order - We never received acknowledgement from the manager.
