Read moreDONT COME TO THIS PLACE ! To the lady with the short brown/red hair !!!!!!! We just came to this place 10 minutes ago and we was supposed to be 10 people coming and enjoy this evening of fun . Well , this place is hell and rude ! I’m not even talking about the extremely loud music that hurt your ears . The waitress came to us and ask for ID , I showed her my ID on my phone and she told me she can’t accept that and she said « I can’t serve you » and I asked her if she don’t care to loose customers because of this she of course said a clearly no and she is new there that’s the funny part ( now let me tell you something, that’s your job !!!!! To serve me and all the client in the place you work in ! You can’t sell me drinks , great I got it , i didn’t really care if to drink or not , so you are telling me that you can’t serve me ?!?! You can’t sell me alcohol but please don’t use pathetic words like those, if you don’t want to serve don’t work as a waitress! We decided to stay there , we had 7 others friends on the way and I really didn’t care less about drinking and then one of my friend ordered already a wine for herself, so she asked the lady what about her drink , suddenly she said « oh we cannot let you stay here after 8 since you have people under the age of 21 » Now just for the record I’m 25 and I did show her that but she was acting blind like it’s her first time seeing an iPhone . I brought her attention and told her I’m 25 and I’m not gonna drink anyway , she screamed at me saying « I don’t know that , I can’t prove it » and I told her , that it doesn’t matter because I’m 25 and that’s a fact and I’m not gonna drink , she said « so you can leave now » , we’ll that’s what I did and I will definitely not come back to this horrible place with this horrible rude waitress (or should I say server?) Then a dude came out saying his the highest long time employee something like that and ask about this situation, I explain him everything, he couldn’t do nothing he didn’t have what to say beside the fact that this lady is new and they are sorry , still didn’t fix anything. Owner - that’s for you - I hope you will find better employees that respect the phrase ‘customer servicé and basic manners like respect for...
Read moreFor years, my cousin and I grab lunch together at Lucky Lou's about once every two weeks. We always talk about geopolitics, and we never engage with anyone else. We do not get loud, we do not swear, we do not cause any issues. We just drink a couple beers, eat a burger, and catch up.
Today (3 April 2025) we went in and there was exactly one other person in the place, and he is out of earshot. We sat where we always sit - the side of the bar, and started to talk about geopolitics like we always do. We were minding our own business, not being loud, and not engaging anyone else. The kid behind the bar interrupts us after we've ordered drinks and food and tells us that we can't talk about politics at the bar. I said, "Thank you very much," and we left.
I don't need a babysitter - I just want lunch. I'll miss the woman who usually works that shift, as she is very nice. Never had this happen before in any restaurant or bar. I refuse to eat anywhere that is going to try to tell a combat vet what he can and can't talk about at lunch.
We went over to Edmund Halley's instead, where the waitress was very nice and said we are free to talk about whatever we want.
Edit to Owner's response: No, thank you, Andi. Just want a burger and a beer - not to have the bartender mind my...
