Really disappointing when you spend $60 on Chinese food and you don’t take more than 2 bites because it was the most disgusting food you’ve ever had. The food tasted a couple of days old. They put way too much soy sauce in their wonton soup causing the wonton noodle to literally turn into goop. The pork fried rice tasted like it was reheated in a microwave. The general tso didn’t look like general tso at all. It looked like a bunch of mush. The fried dumpling must’ve been fried in old oil and the meat inside of it was super salty. My wife got boneless spare ribs that were a really weird color and slimy (I did not let her eat that or anything else for that matter). And the Mongolian beef tasted like public school food. Mushy and no taste! The only thing that was OK was the crab Rangoon but still not that great. As a chef myself I would never let food like that go out to a customer. You guys at Panda Den need to do a better job of quality assurance. Meaning you need to ask yourself if you’d serve that garbage to your family or friends before giving it to a paying customer. Probably not. With that being said I’ll never be ordering from there again. Don’t let the 4.3 star rating fool you, it’s not worth it. Try Fortune Garden off of Arrowood rd, they have the best Chinese food in my opinion. Surprised this restaurant is even in business tbh. I hope this review gets to the owner and he or she takes it to heart because I take spending my hard earned money to heart. I should’ve taken pictures before chucking all that food...
Read moreFirst impression, very chilly in here. My food got cold within 10 minutes. Not much traffic here, no more than 2 other people here during my visit. Granted it was a Wednesday evening. Service was very quick and quite good, though a quick check up now and then would have been helpful. Food was very good, except for the beef. Seems to be a very low grade of beef with much fat and gristle. I couldn't even chew some pieces. I'd steer clear of any dishes with beef, you won't be happy. Shrimp tail shell still in place, in cooked food. Place appeared clean with very little staff in view. Food came out quickly and hot. Once on plate, however, it cooled of quite quickly because of cold temperature of inside restaurant. Temperature is the only part of experience that was quite annoying. It cut our stay and marred the experience. It was like management was looking for quick turn over or cheaping out on the heat. For this reason alone, I would not recommend this place and would hesitate before going here again. Wife seemed to enjoy her food, but same complaint about...
Read moreThe restaurant was definitely clean, and had a very busy takeout business. It wasn't particularly to our tastes. Everything was sort of bland, even the items that we purchased that were marked spicy. The meat in the orders was a little bit squishy, and the beef look the same in the beef and broccoli and the other beef entrees just the sauce was different. The sesame chicken appeared to have been deep-fried earlier and then possibly warmed or kept warm then sauce put on it and serve to us. If chicken is deep fried and then brought to your table it should be very warm or hot, this was not. Service was good and perhaps it's just to Charlotte taste but we found that Panda Express was spicier and had a little bit fresher vegetables than they did. Not bad, just not great. The biggest complaint was that they were cleaning with purple Fabuloso! And the over spray from the table tops, and the air smelled Very Strong! I'm glad they are cleaning for sure, but I should smell Chinese food rather than...
