Sept 2020 .... UPDATED review (below is my 3 star review from 2 years ago...) I decided to go back to this Starbucks a few months before the pandemic -- the lines werent long. Wellllll they have improved! While the prices still require a mortgage for breakfast .... they have vastly improved the speed and quality of the service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
How is it possible that with such an enterprise as Starbucks-- that this could be such a deal breaker? I moved to the area two years ago - but prior to living here, I pretty much stopped at Starbucks everyday. Ive come to this place a handful of times-- each time worse than the last. First of all -- even if you get the the place and there is NO ONE on the drive through line-- you are w a i t i n g forever! What in the world are they doing back there? You are waiting for them to even acknowledge you drove up, then you are sitting at the window waiting forever. With extortionate prices, you would really think that service would be decent. During the summer I actually went inside -- a friend and I got sandwiches -- awful. I cant imagine how long they were there. I cant see ever going back. The price in no way is justified by the food or service. March 2018: Ok, so a year later and still, their act is not together. The drive-thru is a miracle concept for a quick life-style, however, it is built on the premise that you are driving away with exactly what you just asked for when you spoke into the microphone. If you arrive at your destination with blueberries laden with mold or on the second day, missing sugar for your oatmeal -- your breakfast for both those days has been befouled! The other day I tried the Starbucks on Arrowood Road... I ordered the egg cheese grapes protein box ... not a cheap item --but OMG it was gross to look at: the apples and eggs had long since passed their prime. I went to hand the box back into the window showing the barrista and she seemed appalled and said let me get you another one ... she hands me another box and foolishly I didnt check. After I drove away I noticed the same rot throughout. CORPORATE: PLEASE PLEASE tell your franchises to check the food in the morning and DISCARD items that are not FRESH. You are charging a premium amount for food, please stop serving garbage. June 2018 .. Just improved from 1 star to 3 stars! MANY more people working at starbucks! Much quicker to go through drive thru. MOST barristas are helpful and accommodating! Soooo Im back to coming to Starbucks almost daily anyway! YEAH! They need to up their game with the size of a shot. I only order shots (no coffee) -- I really shouldnt need to order 5 shots! Each one is about a tablespoon, if that. Read moreVisited this location this morning and was very disappointed with the customer service as we all know Starbucks prides themselves on warmth and belonging and making their customers feel welcomed. Well, I didn’t get this whatsoever. I order from numerous Starbucks at least 4x a week, faithfully so I am definitely a regular. I attempt to order a brown sugar oat milk shaken expresso. I’m aware this is an extremely popular drink and often Starbucks is out of at least one of the ingredients, well... Before I could even finish ordering, the young lady taking my order cuts me off and rudely responded “I don’t have the syrup to make that drink!!” I responded “thank you” and drove off.She didn’t offer a substitution of the syrup or anything.
It didn't sit well with me as I spend a lot of money there and I believe businesses deserve to know when the customers aren’t treated correctly. I called the location and asked to speak to a manager, who was on lunch. I left my number with a young lady and before I could give my name she hung up on me. The manager called back shortly after (Coral). She was very polite and apologetic. She let me know the store manager would be notified and handle it as this same employee has received multiple complaint. She assured me my next visit to just ask for her and I could get a drink on her, Cool.
Now it’s 3:48 I’ve been a work shift with no caffeine so I thought ok, I’ll stop back by... I went inside this time and asked if Coral was in. The young lady (Megan) said no. I asked so she’s not here today, again Megan responded no, while leaning on the register with a nasty disposition. I just left.
I’m not sure if Megan is the same lady from this morning but I wouldn’t be a bit more surprised if that her but I won’t ever visit this Starbucks again. This is a terrible time to have such a nasty attitude and disposition and it isn’t Starbucks brand.

Read moreI use to go for my coffee every other day and since I just move three months ago to this area I was exited. I like to read reviews and give the chance to places and so I did this time. As previous reviews the drive thru has problems with the speakers so you have to repeat the order more than once. Specially this day I was on Burke County (as you can imagine its a lot of Starbucks on my way home) I decide to way for the closest one home. I was at the drive thru making my order and after I told her (the employee is light skin with red hair) she said did she just order that? That's very disgusting. I got to the window surprise because I did not ask her for any opinion.And just told the employee: It could be disgusting to you but that what I order for and yes you microphone was open while you was talking about my order. She just said It was (surprise and smile). I was in a hurry so I end up going home without my coffee. A few minutes later I call the store to speak with the manager (Tristan): he was nice over the phone but he still need to reinforce more respect and empathy to his employees the reason they are getting pay is to offer a service and give the clients what ever they ask for they are paying for. I don't believe I will be going there even tho I got a free drink and Its close by. The service isn't good and that was the last drop to fill the cup up. I hope this review safe prospects from...
