Better off with a microwave meal from Trader Joe’s. The “sesame noodles” were literally overcooked spaghetti noodles tossed in some kind of clear sugary syrup?- bizarre. No sesame flavor whatsoever and the noodles were soggy. Really terrible, embarrassing for this to even be on the menu. The mapo tofu was a joke. Unseasoned tofu chunks in a very watery flat red broth, more like a bowl of soup than anything. With literal chunks of sausage—not the finely ground meat and multidimensional flavor this dish usually provides. This was at 7 PM on a Thursday. I would highly recommend passing this spot by and going to one of the many other delightful eateries nearby.

The food here is pretty solid. They have lunch special for around 10 dollars. You get to pick a main meat/tofu with rice and unlimited soda. Its quite filling and decent flavours. There is a 13 dollar version where we can pick two meat/tofu dish (from over 8 options), but the quantity is the same as the 1 pick option. I liked the honey chicken lunch dish! The beef noodles were also quite decent.

HANDS DOWN the most authentic and delicious Chinese food around Charlottesville. Almost cried when I saw that they had my hometown food as their special! Amazing place, very packed during lunch time so plan ahead. I will be coming here a lot! Pro tip: bring a Chinese friend so they can tell you the specials listed on the wall- or ask the lady at the front desk what’s good :)

The food is delicious and this is the most affordable place I've visited since 2020. Singapore rice noodles extra spicy (out choice to make it spicy) was perfectly spiced. Dumplings and cold noodle sweet& spicy was perfect amount, filled me up and I would get it again next time! Prices are very low, atmosphere is like cafeteria but the food is filling and very good. I would definitely recommend and if I was living on a budget here, I would eat here daily. I'll be back for certain next time...

Visiting Charlottesville for the second time, and we just found out this place! Food was good and delicious, the Laoban(boss and chef) and the lady there were super friendly and we chatted a lot about Beijing and China, it felt really good to meet someone who you can really talk to! They have some good and authentic Chinese dishes if you have had enough Chinese American food:P, more Beijing style though! We definitely will visit there again...
