They sure do make some nice flatbreads! This is a great little local place that will satisfy most of your Middle Eastern food cravings for a decent price. I ordered the labneh yogurt dip side, the lahmeh bi ajjine (lamb flatbread), Nutella manousheh (flatbread), and the baklava.

They seem to get the baklava from a different place (Yara's Gourmet Mediterranean or something like that). The quality was okay. Price wise, it was good for the portion. But, I definitely would have liked more syrup and flavor to this baklava. 2.5/5

The labneh yogurt was my least favorite thing out of everything I ordered. It tasted a bit strange, unlike any other yogurt I have ever had. Almost like a plastic flavor to it. There was far too much oil in this as well. Portion was fine, but nothing exceptional. It was served with some complimentary pita bread. 2/5

The Nutella flatbread was unique and I'm definitely glad I tried it. The flavor was good, but there wasn't nearly enough Nutella stuffed inside. It was just a small spreading, and for the most expensive dessert they offer, I did expect more. The flatbread was fresh, though. 2.5/5

The lahmeh bi ajjine, though, was actuskly quite good. They had a decent amount of lamb stuffed inside this flatbread, which was quite tasty. However, I keep wanting to compare this to Samovar in Pittsburgh, which made less bready and more flavorful lamb ajjine for a cheaper price. So a solid 3.5/5.

All in all, it's definitely nice to have this place in Charlottesville. It seems pretty new, so many they just have to work out the operations a little. Some items were a bit underwhelming, but nothing was bad (except maybe the labneh, that was...

Would NOT recommend. Everything is OVER-PRICED and portions at TINY. A CAN of Sprite is $2.49 and 3 dolmas (stuffed grape leaves is $3.99. We won't be returning.

Food (1 out of 5): We ordered Creamy Lentil Soup (6oz 0/5), Dolmas (canned 3/5), and the Kafta Bowl (1/5) with rice and salad for $25.12.

I LOVE Lebanese food... this was not authentic Lebanese food! The rice wasn't even fresh and we came for lunch!

Service (2 out of 5): The cashier knew the menu well and explained a few items. When the first items were ready, he brought them to the table.

Atmosphere (2 out 5): It is very clean. The music was a great volume and station.

One of the workers/owners came in the restaurant, used the bathroom right next to our table, then left the door open, light and fan on while less than 5 feet from where we were eating.

As we were leaving, no one said thanks for coming in, hope to see you again... nothing. We were 1 of 2 customers (the other guy got takeout) in the forty minutes we were there.

This was...

My wife, myself and my 17 month old son stopped by this past Friday. It was disappointing. There were only 2-3 customers in the restaurant. We ordered two bowls and figured that within a few minutes we would get our food. 23 minutes later we were still sitting around waiting. It looked like they had one big take out order that they were working on that entire time. I understand that this took time to prepare, but why did both employees have to focus on this one order, and then wait to make our meals until after it was completed? Why couldn’t one person step aside for a few minutes to make our two bowls while the other person continued working on that larger order?

We got our food about 24 minutes after we ordered, and it was ok, but it was not that great. We will not be coming back to...

Disappointing experience. But, first, let’s start with the good. Service was great and all the employees I interacted with were kind and welcoming. Food came out quick and was hot. However, the taste and texture of the food was off putting. Chicken shawarma was cubed, chewy, and flavorless - not anything I typically associate with shawarma. Hummus added a nice texture to my bowl but was too small a portion. I will say I thoroughly enjoyed the side salad, which was fresh and flavorful. While I definitely would give this place another try, I won’t necessarily be running back.

First time trying the place and absolutely loved it. I ordered the shawarma chicken bowl on Uber Eats and the pickup process were super smooth. The food itself tastes amazing. The pita bread was so soft and flavorful. The hummus was smooth and goes perfectly with the pita bread. The chicken were so juicy and goes so well with the garlic sauce. It really was a lot of food! AirPods Pro case for reference. It’s worth the price even if it seems high for a small store like this—the quality is not worse than places like CAVA and you get really full.
