Mom & Pops Burgers — Restaurant in Chatham

I've had burgers from their truck for a number of years and everything has always been good. It is far and few between when I'm in Chatham and I finally got here for lunch on a weekend. I grew up in town and have seen many businesses come and go in this location, and I sure hope Mom & Pops stays!

Cute location inside and out with seating in both areas. Staff are nice and very responsive. Menu is clear and it's easy to order. The fries are fantastic. I have had a number of burgers and while they are all good, consistency has been the challenge. Sometimes they're perfect, an incredible burger, and other times kind of average. Last visit I had burger was missing the sauce which made it fall kind of flat. That being said, it was still very good and, one of the things I appreciate, is the burgers here are not a sloppy mess. I don't know when it became popular for burgers to fall apart the moment you try to pick them up, but, Mom & Pop's burgers are NOT like that at all. Beer selection was very good as well. Prices were "Cape Cod Normal" at about $10-13 for a single burger (no fries included.)

My boyfriend ordered the classic burger, and after taking one bite, he thought it was great. The flavor was particularly delightful, especially when paired with the pop sauce.

I opted for the el Dyablo, but I found it rather underwhelming. The patty lacked seasoning and tasted bland. However, I did enjoy the grilled poblano and other peppers in the burger. Next time, I’ll probably skip this choice.

My dad went for the spicy chicken sandwich, and he found it to be excellent. The chicken was generously drenched in sauce, and when I took a bite, it tasted just as good as it looked!

Additionally, my boyfriend ordered the hot dog, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He loved the crispy bacon and the generous portions of onions and jalapeños on top, which added tons of flavor. Although it was a bit messy, he didn’t mind because it tasted fantastic.

The place was clean and service was quick. They also had a few outdoor tables available if all the inside tables were taken.

Overall, I would definitely come back to try out...

Update: We went back for s finds because we enjoyed the food and much. This time I enjoyed the fish tacos. Wow. Delicious. The fish had the perfect crunch, creamy crema, crisp slaw and a squeeze of lime brought a bright citrus flavor that brought the dish together. I also ate a juicy chicken tender, and dipped it in a surprisingly spicy bbq sauce.

What a great find. A small locally owned burger joint that is a very casual place where one can enjoy a beer or wine with food. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Chicken Tenders were large and juicy with a perfectly crunchy outer crust. The El Dyablo burger was perfectly spicy, and messy to eat but oh so good. The perfect balance of spice that made this burger so addictive. My wife enjoyed her California Burger because it was extremely flavorful. The Naked Fries were perfectly cooked and somewhat crunchy, and very perfect for dipping. The Mom and Pop's fries took their Naked Fries to a whole new level.
