Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday, 2pm during the Fourth Of July weekend. The only people working was a boy at the counter and I believe another boy in the kitchen. No wait staff, only counter service, but you could seat yourself in the lunch area that had tables. Ordered two Caesar Salads to go @ $12.50 each. While waiting for my food a party of 4 came in and waited 5-6 minutes at the counter to order, but the boy at the counter was in the kitchen trying to help with preparing food. The party of 4 gave up and walked out. Another gentleman came in and waited ........ and left. When I was handed my bag and I was walking out the door, I couldn't believe how light my bag was so I opened it to look inside. I first spotted my two dressing containers were completely opened and the dressing was pooled in the bottom of the bag. I pulled out one of the salads and the containers were barely half full. The salads were literally about the size of your fist ......maybe. I returned to the counter and showed the young man the dressing all on the bottom of the bag and showed him the salads which were nearly non-existent. He apologized and said they just didn't put enough lettuce in the containers. He re-made the salads, which went from a value of about $3.50 to about $8.00. I understand prices are high on the Cape, but I wish I had taken a picture of my $12.50 salad for this review. It was beyond ridiculous. Obviously, there wasn't enough staff to run the restaurant at the time I was there. It would have been better to close for the afternoon or day due to "Staff shortage", then to provide such bad service and risk many bad reviews. I gave two stars. One because the young man at the counter was extremely nice and apologetic. The other star was because the place was very clean and the little bit of food I did receive was super...
Read moreOver the course of the pandemic we had ordered from this place a handful of times... always decent for a night we didn't feel like cooking. A couple of those times the order we received at curbside pickup was missing a portion of what we asked and paid for (ex: we order 3 salads and only get 2, etc). Each time this had happened prior, we called and explained and drove back to pick up the missing meal - it was a completely understandable mistake and we always gave them the benefit of the doubt given this period of adjustment. This last time, however, will be the absolute last time we ever order from this place. Once again, we ordered and paid for three salads, and once again, when we got home and opened the bag, there were only two salads. Having been through this routine more than once, we call up and explain that there was a mistake, and both the owner and the owner's son accused us of being liars. Over, and over, and over again, they refused to acknowledge their mistake, insisted that they check every order carefully, insisted that we were lying and trying to scam them. We even drove back to try to talk to them in person. They were rude and mean and demeaning and clearly didn't care about keeping us as customers or making a scene. It was frankly pathetic. And over a salad that was mostly iceberg lettuce anyway? I don't...
Read moreI have been so remiss in not posting sooner about Knots Landing/New England Pizza and for that I am truly sorry. The food is wonderful, my husband loved the burgers, and the pizza’s have always been terrific! The family that runs this restaurant are the nicest, kindest people and have always been caring and so very generous with their time. We have never had a bad meal, the food is delicious and the pizza wonderful! Our family has been patronizing their establishments since we have been living on Cape. Peter and Sophia are truly amazing people and young Peter is a gem. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there and always making us feel welcome! I would recommend this restaurant to any and all! You all are...
