I heard from the hotel clerk at Best Western that the restaurant inside the hotel was great (Jimmy). He was right. I got the Taste of Milan. Chicken parmecian, alfredo pasta, lasagna, and garlic bread. Quantity is huge. Everything was delicious. The soup that came with the meal was incredible. Chunks of delicious seafood in every bite. I couldn't finish the Milan dish so i took the rest to go. Service was excellent. The young man that served me had a presence in him that put me at ease. Very bright future ahead of him. Overall, a great dining experience. As a trucker, it's hard to find a decent meal. I truly appreciated the great food and the service. Would love to come back if i'm ever in the area again. Update: Ordered a pickup today. Ordered an additional eclair and a small cylindrical pastry when i got up to the register to pay. When the girl realized i didn't tip her with my card, she hastily sort of flicked my receipt on the counter without a word and helped someone else without giving me my pastries because i didn't tip her for handing me the food i ordered. Truth is, i was going to tip her $5 in cash anyways until she indirectly showed attitude and didn't give me my pastries. Anyone can be nice when they are happy. You can truly tell what a person is truly like when they get stressed. Throwing a hissy fit to customers doesn't benefit anyone. The cylindrical pastry was decent, but the eclair was a bit repulsive. It was big, but the cream inside tasted plain and smelled of eggs. 5 star service for the young man that served me yesterday. 0 stars for the short girl that handed me my food today.

So.. I found this place on Google. It had very decent reviews. We always try new spots and not stick to the big brands everyone knows. So why not... well I am not gonna lie.. when we pulled up. Oh it did not look good. It was attached to a best Western hotel. We was like wth!!!!. Lmao. Like this must be a mistake. But sure enough there it was. So we were not expecting nothing good at all..so we go in. The sitting area was kind of small..Mayne about 15 tables/ booths. We sat down and they gave us menus. Now I must say they had a very huge selection and variety on the menu.. for breakfast lunch and dinner. From stir fry to seafood boil. I was impressed with the menu. But we haven't tsted anything yet. So we still don't know. So we go ahead and order. Alot of the times the drinks set the tone. I had sweat tea 2ic had uptown( Arnold palmer).. amd it was on point. Then the food came. Just the portions alone.. very generous. Pancakes were good. Matter of fact al the food we had was good. This was definitely a wonderful surprise.. amd never judge a book by its cover. This is a must try.. if you in the area or passing through. Now the parking sucks.. but the food itself was good!!

We have been going here for two years now. Unfortunately we won’t be coming back. We ordered two servings of French toast, because in the past it was good. Today it was very dry and like eating a loaf of bread not French toast. French toast should be a bit heavy from the batter it was dipped in, this was like pulling out bread from a bag. What made the experience even worse was the reaction from Latasha, the manager of 6 years. I was expecting an apology for the bad meal and my money returned. However Latasha picked up my food with her bare hands to give it a squish and said that is how it has always been. At this point, anywhere else would have apologized and given a refund but for some reason she refused. Would you want to continue eating dry French toast that someone put their fingers in? If one was dining in, would expect to pay for it? To management-I would love to talk with someone else. I have lots of friends that I would love to recommend to this place but this kind of service is unexpected and bad for business. For those ordering take out- please check your meal before you buy it because Latasha may not want to give you a refund. It’s hard to see in the pics the dryness, but even apart from that, the flavor was terrible too. Not the end of the world, just a bummer when you are looking forward to a good breakfast.

*see update way below! Are you kidding me? Such a DELISH experience in an old run down motel? When we drove up late on a Tues night and saw that it was in a super sketchy place, being 2 women alone (and after listening to a couple of true crime podcasts in the car), we almost drove on. So freaking glad we didn't! The place was packed (a good sign), but we got a booth right away. Our waiter was attentive without being in your face. I ordered a cheeseburger and it was yummy (real meat). Onion rings = superb. Coffee was very good (had to stay awake to drive). And the Reese's Cheese Cake OMGoodness!!! I will make this a stop every time we go to Chattanooga! UPDATE: 7-21. While the onion rings were still DELISH, a bit disappointed in the burger (dry) and the dessert. I got the Chocolate Cream Pie, and it was literally a chocolate cheesecake set into a pie crust with icing on top!!#!?? Not happy about that AT ALL! Also, so many druggies? hanging around the parking lot makes you wonder if it's worth going in the first place. They need to move. And not recycle their desserts. Pie is not cheesecake! Picture is from the first visit, when it was good.

Wasn't that thrilled with this place. Waitress nice but a bit slow bringing our checks. Food: may have chosen the wrong thing - club sandwich. Dry. Cheap deli meat and boring American cheese. No mayo on sandwich. We did not order the cake. 10 bucks a slice, but it would have served the 3 of us as it was huge. We did go to this location a bit later in the evening as we were traveling. My spouse was very excited to share the experience he had some years ago. I will admit to not being able to eat a large quantity of food, so the sandwich and potato salad were a LOT of food. It was unfortunate that it wasn't a tasty sandwich due to having no sauce or mayo. That would have made a huge difference. Giving me some to apply to the sandwich myself isn't ok because I'd have to dismantle the thing, and it was cut in small squares. I really think that they should put it on or ask if the customer wants it to avoid this situation. Thank you for the reply, but I won't be back in your area any time soon, so there is no need for any further contact. We WILL try you again in the future, though, if only to get a piece of cake!

City cafe review It’s super busy right now at 7:15pm we put in our names and we’re told the wait is 20 minutes. For two people. Right away I notice that the waiting area is way too small. Twenty-five people are packed into a ten foot by 5 foot space. There are many cakes, pies and desserts on display in the cooler and all are beautifully decorated. Once we were seated, the waiter arrived within 5 minutes, which, in my opinion, is very good considering how busy it is. We ordered immediately. By 8pm we were brought a basket of warm restaurant made hollow bread which I found delicious. I ordered a bowl of Seafood Bisque. It was piled with seafood, very hot but for my taste just a little bit too salty. My Husband ordered Gyro platter and claimed he is pleasantly surprised except for the stuffed grape leaf which he wasn’t impressed with. The ambiance was toned down, not too loud even though the restaurant is full. I recommend that anyone on the fence about trying this restaurant go ahead and give it a try but just be aware the the prices are steep for a budget. Waiter is very friendly.
