Oaks Coffee House — Restaurant in Chattanooga

I loved oaks coffee house and went there everyday but a manager there recently made it a huge deal about putting cream cheese on my bagel. I wouldn’t mind to put it on, but oaks is on my way to work and I have quiet a drive to get there and it is not the easiest to drive and put cream cheese on the bagel. I prefer Red Owl now that just does it without even being asked and saves me the trouble on the way to work.

UPDATE I am not one to make complaints to places because I too work in customer service. I shared my experience in hopes of shining light on how quickly someone can go from spending money with a place everyday to spending that money else where due to the simplest details (putting cream cheese on a customers bagel). A customer can easily go from spending $60+ a week with your establishment to spending that else where over going the extra mile to make a customers experience exceptional. I say all this to say, although I was apologized to and offered compensation (not necessary because I am not looking to get anything out of it), I am most moved by changed behavior. Today I went back to Oak’s for the first time since I left this review. I asked for the cream cheese to be put on my bagel and with no hesitancy the cashier said “Of course, we will!”. I really appreciate the time + effort to correct mistakes. Like I said, I also work in customer service and know how difficult it can be to communicate to all staff when reviews like this are left. Thank you for taking the time to make the change + I hope this is a testament of how much the little things matter!!!

Awesome coffee house in a nice space. They've plenty of seating inside for more relaxed days, and get you in and out pretty quick with their drive through for busy days when you need a pick me up. I stopped by to study and stayed several hours - its a pretty good study spot or meet up place. I ordered the Avocado toast, hot macha latte, and hubby had their vanilla cappuccino. The avocado toast was fresh and filling. Only thing it missed was a little salt - an easy fix. The hot matcha latte instantly brought a smile to my face. It had the perfect balance of sweet and creamy and warmed me from the inside out ~ just how I like my macha lattes. The vanilla cappuccino comes in 1 size (small) and was unsweet, despite the added vanilla. The coffee was smooth, not bitter, but lacked sweetness and that hint of vanilla.
