Waffle House — Restaurant in Chattanooga

I’m on a trip with some friends from Asia and we decided eat at Waffle House for breakfast. We walk in and waited to be seated. We didn’t even get greeted, and it seems like they only greeted the customers they knew. Then a table opened up and we walked over to sit but there were stuff still there after awhile so I asked the manager if there was anyway she can wipe this table and she told me to wait because she was working.. I was very shocked and didn’t know how to react. We then sat down after she wiped it and we ordered. The food came out really fast like 5 minutes after we ordered which is kind of strange not to mention I had so much oil on my eggs. After eating we went up to the front to pay and there was someone paying who was treated very nicely. My friend went up next and the way he was treated was very wrong. She snatched the card and then slammed the receipt down. And he asked if this was his receipt and she snapped back and said no this is yours. I then went up, handed her my receipt and money and she snatched it as well and then threw my change back at me. At that point I was very angry because the service was just terrible. We had one more person that had to pay. She handed the lady her card and the receipt and the lady once again snatched and slammed down the receipt. My friend was writing on her copy on accident and the worker pointed very aggressively at their copy, and when I looked up at her at shock she just stared back without saying a word. Not even a have a great day or anything. This is the first time that I have ever experienced such terrible Waffle House service. I love Waffle House and the food there, but this was just down right wrong. I will for sure not be going...

WOW. This was horrible, even by waffle house standards! We went in around 2 pm on a sat. There was one person at the counter. We sat in a booth and waited for 15 minutes before this very drugged up waitress came to us. She was confused, almost incoherent. It looks her 10 minutes to take each person's very simple order. She was obviously high on meth or fentanyl, it was very obvious. The man at the counter was bouncing all over, acting very strange. The waitress returned to our table about 15 minutes after taking our order(there were no other customers) to tell us she 'confused the cook' and needed to get out orders again. (We all ordered the same meal) At this point, we were feeling so awkward and kind of sorry for her. Then another 30 minutes later some food came out but it was wrong.we let it go and waited still longer got the rest, which was wrong. It was at this point we asked for silverware, very awkwardly.she had a very hard time try to figure out how to goveus each a fork, spoon and knife. It was like brain surgery to her! We then asked for our drinks. We had 2 cokes and 3 waters. We got 3 cokes 1 water. Then... It was time to pay for this experience! Since she never brought us a check, we went to the counter. She then began trying to figure out the ticket and it was excruciating to watch. After 10 minutes she looked at my son in law and said $14.75. she was adding up the meals individually and charging for each one. I couldn't tell her, I was afraid to confuse her more. I just wanted to pay and get the hell out at that point! We live in Dalton, ga. We know what waffle houses to go to in our area. I'm not very familar with Chattanooga. I will be much more careful about where I choose to...

First off I been going to this location since moving to area, never really had a bad experience worth writing about till this past weekend 1/7/2023. My roomate and I were at this location on Saturday morning and I had ordered three sausage, egg and cheese biscuits. I received my food and asked manager where my pickles and mayonaise was. She came over with pickles and mayonaise in hand and threw the mayonaise onto the table and pickles hard onto my plate with a very bad attitude, knowing they were to be put on another dish. Told her that was totally uncalled for and she snapped back at me. She's one of the worse managers I have ever seen by having other employees do her job that shes paid to do. Constantly going outside to smoke and who knows what else. The other employees don't get paid enough to do her job that shes paid to do when they have tables to wait. I have seen several times where the waitress is left to cook their own orders, cause the manager is know where to be found. Yet again they aren't payed to do her job when shes the manager.

The food is never consistent at this location, one weekend its good as all get out and other weekends its like a kid put the food together. Theres never any pies cause the manager never pulls them so they can be sold. The only good thing about this location is the cleanliness and one waitress named Amber which don't get the credit...
