Greg's Sandwich Works & Food Truck — Restaurant in Chattanooga

I was about to be pretty impressed with your response to my review, especially the mention that you refunded my order, and prepared to reduce the frustration in my review— only it’s filled with criticism about the order itself. When I submitted my order, I in no way shape or form asked for “extra” toppings (outside of those that were an additional charge, which I paid for) - so I’m not sure why the oz you referenced are relevant. You might have noticed some level of disappointment when I learned just how many salad topping options were not included in the price of a salad— but said nothing and paid what was charged. You’ll remember I asked for the toppings to be in a different dish than the lettuce ONLY if my order had not been started (you confirmed it had not been!). What does “he already chopped the spinach” have to do with it being rotten and slimy? Does lettuce rot in 30 minutes?

I ordered a salad To-Go for my flight from Chattanooga — the spinach was slimy and rotten. I attempted to pick out the worst of it (because I was so hungry), but there was hardly anything left. I’m so frustrated— I went to Greg’s because of the great reviews (and to try and save money and not buy expensive airport food), and not only did this have to go in the trash ($10+ salad because of all the toppings that are “extra”— cheese, seeds, cranberries, etc.), but I had to buy expensive airport food anyway. Improve your quality...

Its a nice change of pace from the ordinary. Don't get me wrong , they have all the deli staples ; Rueben , Italian , Club , etc... but , they also good selection of wraps , all beef hot dogs and salads. Their offering of soups were a hearty Chili and White Bean n Collards. I opted for the Chili , it was a good take on a classic comfort food. I did get a sample of the other one as well , it was also very good. Did I mention? Their soups are made in house , with Chili available everyday and a rotating soup of the day. As for my main course , I chose the Greg's Special , I figured if it carries the namesake its gotta be good. Well , not good... More like artistic! For starters , their fresh baked bread is delicious , this sandwich has turkey , tomato , lettuce , mayo , ok this is where it gets special.... jalapenos and house made pimento cheese! Yes , it was an exciting trip down flavor lane. Ok in conclusion , It boils down to this , if you're looking for a quick bite , drive by everything else on the way here. Hey old buddy I hear you got the best sandwich in Chattanooga need you to deliver me a sandwich anything will do 1240 West Henderson Chicago of course I'm kidding don't jump in the car now or the food truck I see you added the food truck whether you know it or not I drive to Florida once a month and back to Chicago the following month I do this a lot every time I'm at the intersection of interstate 24 and 75 and tell Bonnie Greg's 2 mi away and we keep saying we're going to stop in to see you but I'm usually so tired I just keep going until I get home well I usually drive on the 15th of every month either down or up maybe I'll see you May 15th we love you...
