I recently moved to town and this is my second time eating here. The 1st time the food was phenomenal ( tofu hibachi, General Tso Chicken) The 2nd time I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED/DISGUSTED ( Steak hibachi cooked "medium rare") The steak is soaked in soy sauce and starch. This was not made known before finishing our order. At first I thought the meat was rotten , after calling and inquiring about the steak... I was THEN INFORMED about the meat seasoning. I am thankful I got the sweet Thai chili wings add on, and bang bang chicken wraps..otherwise I would have spent well over $30 on unedible hibachi. THIS NEEDS TO BE EXPLAINED WHENEVER a customer orders steak. NEVER HAVE I EVER, been to any restaurant where they DONT explain unique flavors that may not be favored. After calling and inquiring about the flavoring I was simply told "Sorry, and there was nothing to be done." I live 5minutes away and eat carryout all the time. There goes new business! I hate being a Karen, but this was a great opportunity to remedy an unsatisfied customer.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while now, as I discovered this spot earlier this year and have been hooked ever since. Whether I’m dining in or ordering takeout, their consistency and quality never fail. From their Japanese curry with chicken katsu to their tonkatsu ramen, every dish is always spot-on. For me, the true star of the menu is the Sweet Gochujang Don bowl—it’s my absolute go-to. The portions are generous, and the prices are more than reasonable! A little warning, though: if you're sensitive to spice, go with a level 1 or no spice at all. But for those who enjoy a bit of heat, I highly recommend trying it at level 3. The pork chops and steak are always juicy, and the pork belly is incredibly flavorful. The cozy atmosphere of this lovely little spot makes it perfect for dates or casual lunch gatherings. Finally, I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to support this small business—it’s truly earned a special place in my heart. The staff is always welcoming, greeting you with a smile everytime!

It's a relatively small place but it can actually fit large parties of 10-20. It is located in the corner of the plaza of where Thai Rain and Gold's Gym. There will be a Asian store around the corner of Thai Rain you can shop at and this restaurant is right next to it. The Japanese curry was alright. It wasn't spicy at all even though I asked for it or perhaps their levels of spicy just aren't spicy. I would recommend getting their wings instead, especially the lemon pepper flavor. It's not overly flavored with lemon but a good balance where you just taste the perfect amount on it. The spicy honey was also good because it wasn't too sweet or too spicy. The waiter was nice but didn't really take their job serious enough. The curry came overflowing and even dripped onto my chair but the waiter didn't even notice. The waiter had the attitude of not wanting to be there and just doing enough to get by.

First, the customer service was efficient and wasn’t overbearing. I was greeted the moment I walked in and had my order taken fairly quickly. I went 1/19/23 around 7:30pm and it wasn’t too busy. Now the food… I ordered the spicy honey wings and the flavor was on point! The sweet and spicy complimented each other well. I love spicy food my comfort level is around the true habanero scoville level.. these wings do have a kick but pretty manageable for the general public. While the flavor of the wings were delicious the meat was hella dry and had that freezer burnt taste after the goodness of the sauce.. they were pretty small and seem to cost about a dollar each (def not worth it). I also ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen with Chashu. The broth was flavorful but pretty mediocre and had that cheap seasoning packet + water taste. Personally I’ve had better ramen broth with instant. I loved that the egg was soft boiled and not hard boiled but the real disappointment was the Chashu :/ it was very dry and had ZERO flavor and I mostly got fatty pieces which usually I enjoy but again it was DRY. The noodles were too thin and stuck together as if they were not cooked fresh. The carrot gave the broth an overall bitter taste so I just didn’t eat them. Maybe my expectations for ramen were far too high for a hibachi place in TN 🤷🏾. Authentic Japanese or inspired by Japanese ramen (not instant) is my favorite meal and have tried many different ramen spots across the country plus Canada. I wouldn’t recommend the ramen here if you aren’t familiar with just how delicious ramen can be. I haven’t tried anything else so I can’t say if any of the other food is good. The reason I give it 2 stars is the customer service saved the experience. I don’t know the young ladies name but she...

Wanted to love this place but unfortunately it didn’t happen. My family and I were looking for a new hibachi place to love- which we would have gladly visited pretty regularly. I ordered the Chicken Hibachi with Grilled noodles and fried rice with a spice level of 3. Upon getting everything Togo, as soon as we entered the restaurant the waitress greets us with “for here or Togo!?” We were like “oh hello.. We actually ordered online but were wanting to get some boba tea while we wait on the order to finish.” She says “oh” and walks off and goes into the kitchen. Clearly has a pretty great attitude about her job. So we wait for a bit. She never comes back to ask us our boba tea order until she brings the food. Then asks if we’d like to order boba. Nope definitely not after her attitude. We get our Togo food. Open the boxes in the car and everything could have been thrown in there in more of a hurry. The grilled noodles were covered in sauce, and really had no flavor at all. My rice really was delicious. The chicken was covered in the same black sauce and was not very impressive/ almost like it & the noodles were old. The rice on the other box tasted as if it wasn’t cooked completely and the shrimp wasn’t deviened. The Japanese fried chicken we had was ok but really just tasted like the oil it was fried in. The ginger sauce to the salad was great as well as the veggies that came with the hibachi meals. I also found a piece of metal grate in my vegetables which I’m sure was an accident but definitely added to the disappointment of our...

Edit 6/13/24: We recently discovered that Hibachi & Wings has added boba tea to their menu, which we noticed on DoorDash. After enjoying their Jasmine and Thai boba during previous visits, we decided to stop by in person to try the Lavender and Caramel boba.

Upon arrival, the usual friendly staff member took our order. However, an issue arose when another employee, wearing a purple shirt, stepped in. He insisted that ordering boba without ice would result in the same volume as with ice. This was contrary to our previous experience when our Thai boba, ordered without ice, was filled to the top. The conversation became increasingly off-putting, ultimately leading us to cancel our order.

This encounter was disappointing, especially since we were looking forward to frequent visits given how close we live. We were also excited to try their other food this weekend, but now we’ll have to pass on this. Sadly, the difficulty we faced has turned us away, and we'll be making the extra trip to Bubbles & Waffles in the mall from now on. There, the drinks are larger for the same price and the ordering process is hassle-free.

It's unfortunate, as Hibachi & Wings had the potential to become our go-to spot for boba. I hope they can address this inconsistency and improve the...
