When it first opened we loved it and went alot, everything was incredibly delicious. Then we started ordering takeout for convenience but the food was awful. We have ordered takeout from here 4 other times hoping each time would be better but this last order was finally our breaking point to say we will no longer be back. We have received the wrong order multiple times and this last time it was wrong and lazy. They didn't even bother to mix the scrambled egg in with the fried rice, they literally just threw it on top. We have reached out previously to have them fix the order when it is wrong and they have attempted to fix it with a giftcard, but it just means someone in our family is going without the same dinner as us for that night and also, we don't want the hassle of having to have it replaced for a future meal not the hassle of calling the resturaunt everytime to have them replace something we ordered for that night. They do not care what walks out the door for takeout, or the freshness or flavor of their food.

Edit: they called to make it right by replacing the order tonight, even though we had no intentions of contacting them to replace the order. They did replace the whole order fully so everyone was able to eat and no one had to eat the cold food which is way more than others would have done so i feel like that should be noticed which reflected in the change of stars. The manager was incredibly professional in handling it as well. We didn't even realize the one that had egg on the top didn't even have the chicken, so maybe it was another meal that wasnt ours. The employee said there was a misunderstanding with the food. The issue is still the hassle of going to get it again and that takeout is very inconsistent. Sitting down inside would save the need for 2 trips for a meal. The food has always been very good any time we have dined in, and the service is adequate, I think someone is just dropping the ball majorly when it comes to pick up orders and seeing what can go through the door which would save so much time and money for both if it were correct to begin with. We do appreciate their customer service and hope if we try it in the future it will be better but for now we need a break...

Atmosphere: Osaka Sushi & Steak House offers a vibrant yet cozy atmosphere, blending traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern touches. The warm lighting and elegant wooden decor created a welcoming environment, making it an ideal spot for both casual dining and special occasions.

Appetizers: We kicked off our meal with a couple of appetizers: Clear Soup and Edamame. The clear soup was warm and comforting, featuring a rich broth with mushrooms. The edamame was served with a delicate dipping sauce that enhanced the dish beautifully.

Giant Eel Roll: The highlight of the meal was, without a doubt, the Giant Eel Roll. This impressive roll was generously filled with succulent grilled eel, cucumber, and avocado. The eel was incredibly tender, with a smoky flavor that paired well with the fresh crunch of the cucumber. The roll was beautifully presented, topped with a sweet eel sauce and sprinkled with sesame seeds, making it as delightful to the eyes as it was to the taste buds.

Main Course: To complement the sushi, I ordered a Filet Mignon from the steak section of the menu. Cooked to perfection, the steak was juicy and tender, served me alongside a variety of grilled vegetables and a side of rice. The flavors were well-balanced, and the portion size was generous.

Dessert: For dessert, we chose the Mochi Ice Cream. The assortment included flavors like green tea, mango, and strawberry. Each bite was delightful, with the chewy mochi exterior giving way to the creamy ice cream inside—a refreshing end to the meal.

Service: The service at Osaka Sushi & Steak House was attentive and friendly. Our server, Anna G. was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations, ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable.

Overall Impression Osaka Sushi & Steak House delivered a memorable dining experience. The Giant Eel Roll was truly a standout dish, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to high-quality ingredients and authentic flavors. The combination of sushi and steak allowed for a diverse and satisfying meal.

If you're in the mood for an exceptional Japanese dining experience, the Giant Eel Roll at Osaka Sushi & Steak House...

I would like to start this review out by prefacing that I have been to this restaraunt multiple times. The food and service is typically great upon each visit! We decided to have dinner here for my birthday this year. We ordered a few sushi rolls and fried rice. While we were ordering, our waitress asked us if we would like a soup and salad with our fried rice. My girlfriend and I looked at each other in confusion, knowing that soup and salad does not come with the fried rice. Loving the soup and salad, we obliged anyway and just figured we’d pay the difference. (Reasoning: It was my birthday! Might as well go all out and get the things we love!) Fast forward to our entree arriving, we are greeted with a plate of Chicken Hibachi. We called our waitress back over and explained that we ordered fried rice. She begins to condescendingly explain to us that the chicken hibachi IS, in fact, the fried rice just that the ingredients are separated on the plate…. We expressed to her that we know the difference between the two entrees and that maybe when we agreed to the soup/salad it confused her? She stated that us agreeing to the soup/salad was us in turn changing our order to Chicken Hibachi, which we were unaware of until we received our food. When we asked if we could exchange the hibachi for our fried rice that we ordered, she AGAIN stated we did get our fried rice that the ingredients are just separated on our plate. Once we realized we were going in circles and she wasn’t willing to make it right, we just told her it was fine and we would settle for the food we had already received. Nothing was made right and no apology was given. While being forced to eat/pay for the said wrong entree, the same waitress ran the wrong food to two separate tables. Maybe it was an off day for her? Maybe she was trained by the wrong person? Maybe she was new? Maybe it just wasn’t my lucky day? I don’t know! But her talking to us like we were 5, rubbed me the wrong way. If someone orders chicken fried rice, they want to receive chicken fried rice....

Best sushi in the Chattanooga area! Shoot, might be better than most of the sushi I’ve had…and I lived on the west coast for a decade. The restaurant has a lovely floor plan separating the sushi bar and restaurant from what can sometimes be a noisy hibachi atmosphere. They have a very tidy restaurant and our server, Arif, was polite and very accommodating. The robots were cute as well. My husband took me here for my birthday and everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. I had the octopus sunomono and my husband tried their seaweed salad. Both were lovely, but we thought the octopus sunomono was the best of the two. We wanted to try their sashimi so we ordered the toro sashimi listed on their sandwich board out front and the chef’s choice. The toro was an amazing start and we loved all of the chef’s selections, plus it arrived in a boat that lights up! After salad and sashimi we tried four of their rolls. The ocean roll was light and refreshing. Their rainbow roll was very typical but a well made roll. The lady bug roll was HUGE and very tasty. And lastly, the shogun roll was rich, spicy and very satisfying. We wanted to try some sake while there but unfortunately their bar is not open yet. I was told they will provide bottle service if you bring your own though, and the liquor store is a few doors down. We opted not to do that, but look forward to coming back and perhaps their bar will be open in the near future.

I hope you enjoy this experience as much as we did. Osaka has a nice layout and a very original mood. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We were seated quickly. The sushi menu has pictures and descriptions for most items. We were a little concerned with some of the prices until we realized that the menu included the familiar sushi rolls plus some more complex rolls that were a little higher in price. But believe me they were well worth it! All were very fresh and carefully done. I decided on an Okinawa roll (more complex roll), and a shrimp tempura roll (more familiar roll), with miso soup and a house salad with ginger dressing. His choice was fresh tuna sashimi (more familiar item), and Koi roll ( more complex roll), with seaweed salad and miso soup. We shared a spring roll order. The miso soup was some of the best we have ever tasted. The seaweed in it was fresh and flavorful. The salads were fresh and tasty and small. The spring roll was sooooo fresh and yummy. The Okinawa and Koi rolls were very complex and had more elements. The Sashimi was fresh and had a beautiful red color. We enjoyed all of our choices and were pleased with our visit. By the way. They have the little robots that deliver food/ drinks and play music. They also have a cooking table side that we plan on returning for, and we will review it also. Our server was available when needed but not intrusive.
