Sept 2021: I was born and grew up in Chattanooga, but have lived in Missouri the past 20+ years. Every trip back to TN I'd have to get my Krystal "fix." This past July I finally moved back home, so now I can get my Krystals ANYTIME I want. I thought that was a good thing until I visited the Signal Mtn Blvd location 2 days ago. I've never had a bad Krystal burger or fries til now. This was my first time visiting this location and probably my last. My wife and I both ordered a #1 combo. I live literally 3 minutes away on Mtn Creek Rd and our fries and burgers were cold when we got home (not lukewarm, but cold)... Not only that, but the meat on the burger tasted freezer burned and the fries tasted like old scorched fryer oil was used. My wife couldn't finish hers and threw over half of her order away. I ate three of my four burgers but had to choke them down just because I had to get ready for work and didn't have time to fix something else. I've never had a complaint about the Hixson Pike location when I was visiting and getting my Krystal fix and I grew up eating at the old location on Dayton Blvd. The Signal Mtn Blvd location is the worst I've ever experienced and doesn't even compare to other locations around Chattanooga. Too bad since it's so close to my house.
*Update Oct 23, 2021: Stopped in the same restaurant to give them a 2nd chance. After waiting in the drive thru line, when I got to the order box the employee tells me he has to restock everything and will be back. A few minutes later a female employee comes on and tells me "Sorry we're gonna have to close the restaurant for about 30 minutes, have a nice night... " Wow, this place is worse than I thought. They had two chances and blew both of them. Never again...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible food and the shift lead Leah is probably the most incompetent adult in the workforce. Went inside to order and dine in, cashier rang our order up at a drive thru register which was fine used our card to pay however, when we asked for a receipt she said that register wasn't hooked up to a printer. Got our cokes it was obvious that the syrup was out. Got our Krystal's they were missing cheese, my husband sent them back they were remade and came out cold. Leah the shift manager offered to steam them that helped very little. Went up to get refills and asked for coke from a different coke machine and they were still the same. Before we left we asked shift lead Leah to print a receipt she attempted to find it printed one with a similar order and then we refused that one as it wasn't ours she told us she didn't have access to find ours and that they probably had 50 orders in the 45 minute time span we were there which wasn't true. Leah gave me a number to her general manager and she , herself, did nothing to try to correct the situation, she had excuse after excuse and had no sincerity behind her apology regarding our experience. Another employee came out to apologize to us and told us how other managers would have corrected the situation and informed use not to eat there as the employees are lazy and take short cuts and that Leah wasn't sincere with her apology because she...
