This is my favorite organic, plant based, homemade restaurant in the southeast corner of the United States to date. Where is it you say? You will find it in North shore in Chattanooga, TN. Why is this place make it my favorite? First off I am gluten intolerant and everything here is all natural with no dairy or gluten in anything. I actually don't have to worry about what i can or can't eat or cross contamination because everything is fair game here. Which for me is mind blowing because I travel all over the us and very rarely get this pleasure or service. When I came in the doors I was greeted with a smile from the staff asking what would I like to try. I was shocked to hear everything! What? I settled on the waffles of course because I haven't had them in a few years. I paid and went to my table outside under a shaded area from the stores patio. I quickly saw each table inside and out had small glass vases with real fresh flowers in them. hmm.. Now that is unique. The stainless steel finish of the tables, chairs, decore was like a very expensive fine dining experience with a more homey vibe for less the cost. You even find a stainless steel dog dish for your furby to drink from while you enjoy a meal. My Smoothie came out first which is called body buzz and it was delicious. Then the main course came out. Let me tell you it was very impressive looking as you can see from the pictures below. I have never had almond butter and coconut butter dripped over waffles before and that was bustering with flavor to give the bananas/strawberries/blueberries unique flavorful taste. I was blown away by my taste buds to this restaurants meal. I was so full from the meal and Smoothie I couldn't try the many desserts but will next time. If you live in the surrounding area or just passing through this place is a must visit you won't be disappointed. To the staff and owner's of Fresh Squeezed well done you have blown away my expectations of what a restaurant should be in every detail that goes into your restaurant. The recognition in my review is...
Read moreI would to say that Southern Squeeze is a much more than an inviting local juice bar that provides quality products, a great environment, and knowledgeable staff. In my definition, I believe what makes Southern Squeeze great, is that they care about their customers & the community. You can see this demonstrated through the quality of products they serve (all the juices, smoothies, foods, treats, etc. are organic base, raw, vegan, gluten free, AND often times made with local produce) and through the way the employees and local owners treat you. The staff at the Southern Squeeze are very inviting and you can tell they truly care about their customers. As you walk in, if you had any questions about their detox juices or anything on their menu ... health wise, what I loved is that they showed interests and listened to you as a customer. They are concerned with their customers well being, and meeting customers exactly where they are at. It's quite exciting to see businesses like Southern Squeeze that cares this much about the community and its health.
For brunch, I had the "Morning Shred Bowl." In this large bowl, you will get sprouted gluten-free grain, pesto, herb cashew cheese, avocado, peas, seasonal greens, pepitas, plus a side of toast. I also had "Blueberry Superfood." which is a mixture coconut water, banana, blueberry, hemp hearts.
My brunch was nutritionally packed. I loved every bite and I thought I wouldn't be full but I was wrong. The portions are great! The prices of everything on the menu, everything is affordable. I love that Southern Squeeze is a place I can go eat healthy meals, drink healthy juices and not have to worry about being too expensive.
Ooh! You can check out their breakfast menu at anytime of the day. Also, from time to time, they will host community classes. If you are interested in learning how to juice, live a healthy lifestyle to dietary, you can contact them or look on their social media to see when their next community class event will be.
I highly...
Read moreThe Food was alright but I did not feel welcome at all. I spent almost $50 in one siting and had a poor customer service experience. I noticed I was the only black person in at the time and I was the only table that ordered dine in that did not get a water pitcher. Some may think its just a coincidence that I was the only one that didn't receive a pitcher of water. I tried to give them excuse after excuse oh they seen i had a cold pressed so they thought I didn't need water. But nope I looked around every other person had another type of drink of some sort in addition to their water pitcher. I watched them walk by my table time after time taking pitchers to people who came in after me with the biggest smile and I still never received a pitcher of water. This may be small to some but its the principle in this case. I am 100% confident they were just not that comfortable conversing with me because I was black. I was the only black person in their at the time in a area predominantly white. Even a blind man can see. Cause after I said something to them about it they tried being nice and asking how is everything which is how they should have been from the start. But its cool just thought Id share...
