I lived in Chengdu for several months and then Chongqing for over a year. So when I saw that this place had “Sichuan popcorn chicken”, I had to try it out and see if it came even close to the Sichuan dishes that I grew to love in China. It was incredibly nostalgic and made me wish we had a Sichuan restaurant here in Chattanooga. I usually drive to Atlanta whenever I’m craving Sichuan food so it’s great to know I don’t have to do that anymore! It’s been two weeks since we learned about this place and we have ate here twice now.
There’s one negative review that spoke about how they go out of their way to warn people not to eat here whenever they buy their kimchi at the Asian market (where this food truck is located sometimes). I’m glad I didn’t see that review before I tried Wei To Go because it could have influenced me not to give this place a chance. Please don’t listen to this ill-mannered person if they happen to accost you while buying their kimchi. We gave them a chance and it was incredible. If they ever add Yu Xiang Rou Si/鱼香肉丝 to the menu, they will never...

I tried this place on their opening day. I ordered a jasmine honey tea, egg rolls, and the szechuan chicken.
After having forgotten about my order 4 times, I received the food after several people who ordered AFTER me.
I received: -Frozen fried egg rolls -A bottled, processed tea with High Fructose Corn Syrup -The entree was canned chicken that was wok fried in oil with no sauce or flavoring, szechuan peppers, white rice, and peanuts, with like 5 itty bitty green onions on it.
I paid like 30$ for all this. The chicken was so tough, slimy, and bland that I threw it away halfway through forcing myself to eat it.
For an Instagram page that claims to have literally went to China for inspiration to open up a fresh food, food truck, this is a joke.
Absolutely terrible and I actively go out of my way to warn people when I go buy my kimchi.
If the food here was free, I'd decline and go pay...
Read moreDo NOT sleep on Wei To Go Chattanooga! It's phenomenal! This food truck promised to bring some authentic Chinese food to the Chattanooga area. It's something that we sorely lack. I am by no means authentically Chinese, but I have loved Chinese food my whole life. (I literally cried when mom-and-pop Panda in Hixson closed!) I'm impressed, for sure! The Sichuan Chicken Salad is loaded, and so delicious! We also tried the beef dish and the popcorn chicken. Everything is fresh and flavorful and, as far as I have the authority to say so, very authentic. I'm so grateful to see a place like this give it an honest shot, and we...
