As I write this review I still have yet to select the amount of stars to give. I read the reviews before coming here. There's like 1000 great and just a few bad ones. Honestly some of the bad ones did not make me not want to go. Because mostly where still good food. We'll I want to say the food was good. But I am going to agree with the people who wrote not so good reviews. To start we had 3 different servers. First 2 were very pleasant. However the last one was completely rude. I guess they save her for the last. Because if she was first or second I would have walked out. So to the people who wrote about rude service you wrote an honest review on service. The food was good. But yes it was salty. Of course everyone knows that pub secret. Salt makes you trusty. But is was not too salty where I could not eat it. But those reviews are correct. Dark dingy yes those reviews are correct. I did speak to a manager about the rude server. Of course instead of me being the one who was wronged. Lets make excuses for the 1 rude server because she has been there for 5 years. Well to that I say she is to comfortable and with that I mean managers need to speak with her and remember we are customers and our money keeps the lights on. I don't think I will return. But I can't say don't go either. But this a honest review and I am saying the others are to. Your choice. You may get lucky or you may...

Went last night 2/26/14 to the tremont tavern for my second trip ever for the best burger in Chattanooga. We sat at the only table available (couch was taken at the time) next to the bathroom. There was no reserve sign at all on the table. We ordered drinks and approximately five minutes later another waitress comes by and TELLS us to move because this table is reserved for beer tasting. She turns to the other waitress and asked her if she removed the reserve sign, which she admits to accidentally doing. We are furious at this point for not being ASKED to move and the only place now available is the couch. But we are so hungry we don't leave. I figure I would give them a chance to redeem themselves with a discounted or free meal. So we eat our meal on the coffee table with other peoples rear ends sitting on the coffee table six inches from our food. Btw....still the best burger in Chattanooga. We get the check and it was full price. I pay it and ask to speak to the manager and was told he was not there. I then tell the same waitress that told us to move that her behavior was poor business and that we would never be back. She replied, "I'm sorry." We left never to return.

Update, the owner Dustin called me direct and apologized and offered to buy us dinner. Don't know if we'll go back but it's nice to see a business...

Me and my husband were huge fans of Tremont. We lived in Hixson for 2 years and ate there probably once a week if not more. Even when we loved out to East Brainerd we still drove 30 minutes to eat there. We loved it SO much we decided to have our Rehearsal dinner there. I went back and forth with David Morris for months about dates, food, head count etc. my final deposit form stated the date Thursday 9/12/24. Thursday comes around, we arrive promptly before the decided time of 6:00 pm. Doors locked, lights off. My fiancée goes to the main entrance and lets them know we’re here. They have no clue who we are or anything about our reservation. The girls at Tremont were very helpful and got David on the phone right away. I spoke with David and he said that he had me down for 9/13/14. Like I stated above previously, the FINAL deposit form with my credit card information stated 9/12/24. We even discussed this on the phone. I completely understand human error, but instead of trying to make it right he instead told me on the phone “you’ll have to find somewhere else tonight”. I had 20 of my family members standing there staring at me, driving from hours away. That’ll be the last time Tremont gets...

This place was so good that I had to get myself two burgers. I ended up getting the Durty Gomez(pictured left) burger cooked medium well. It consists of a 50/50 burger patty of beef and chorizo. It is then topped with pepper jack cheese, guacamole, and a roasted red pepper cream sauce. And of course I added bacon to give it a smokey flavor. It was delicious. My second burger was the highly recommended Gouda Burger(pictured w/tots). It is a 1/2 lb black Angus beef patty that came with lettuce, tomato, bbq sauce, onion straws, lettuce, and melted gouda cheese that is to die for. I also added bacon on this to take it to the next level. This burger melts in your mouth when you bite into it. It can get a little messy but it is well worth the mess. The second picture includes a cheese burger that my son got, and their huge grilled cheese sandwich that they serve there. This place is a burger haven for any burger enthusiast out there. I would check it out as soon as you can. I will be going back. This is one of the best gems in Chattanooga.

Best burger in town, hands down. Anyone that has lived in Chattanooga knows that there are some good burger places to chose from, but the Tremont Tavern burger experience is tops. I've been going to Tremont for years, and our group of 30+ guests recently had a scheduled lunch and our experience was excellent. Dustin, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure everything was going well, and the staff did a great job of preparing for our visit. For our group meal, we scheduled our visit for before the lunch rush and pre-ordered, which is always a good idea for any large group. Tremont has also added a new event space, which would be great for group gatherings. All in all, our recent experience was excellent and Tremont once again proved they have the best burgers in Chattanooga. PS their veggie burgers are also awesome.

We visited on a Saturday night about 10pm, the place was probably at half of capacity. The bartender was our server, he brought us drinks and took our food order. Unfortunately we didnt see him until we went to the bar to cash out. This made for a very unpleasant dining experience that was further aggravated by the fact we'd anticipated eating here as it was so highly recommended. The beer selection appeared great although I never got to order a second, our food came out fresh and as worthy of 3.5 of 5 stars. Philly steak was ok, nothing to rave about. Id probably skip this joint unless i were going just to sit at the bar and have a beer. There are to many other places in town serving excellent food and craft beer to give this one a second chance.
