Rosie's Diner in North Chelmsford, MA was featured on Restaurant Impossible in season 15. It was episode #9 & it aired on August 17, 2019. I recently watched this episode & was happy to learn that Rosie's is still open, following the much needed improvements made by Chef Robert Irvine & his team. I was recently in the area with a friend, so we stopped in for breakfast. My friend uses an electric wheelchair, so I went in first to check out the accessibility. I was greeted by Natalia. She was very kind & offered me 2 or 3 seating options. During our visit, we had interactions with several staff members. They were all very polite & friendly. My friend had also seen the RI episode, so we decided to order two of the menu items that were presented in the show. Her Brussels Sprouts Hash was delicious & plentiful. We shared an order of home fries. I ordered the Caramel French Toast. It was tasty, but nothing really special. I did enjoy the fresh mint in the whipped ricotta & used as a garnish. Overall, it was nice to visit Rosie's & see that many of the changes instituted on RI are still in place. As of August 2024, the diner is open daily...
Read moreI used to be a regular at this place. Okay food, cozy atmosphere, and the stuff was courteous. Then on father's day, I brought in my 6 member family in, we've ordered off the menu.... and waited for almost 1 hr for our food.
After several complains to the waitress, and her dismissal or excused that 'yes, your food is coming soon', I've finally complained directly to the manager. Turned out our order went missing, somehow, and reinstating our order again would take another 20-30 mins. To be fair, the manager gave us some 'canned' apology, which we felt was raw and somewhat insensitive. However, we've accepted and decided to keep our cool and wait.
After waiting for 1:30 min, the food finally arrived, and right way we felt the food quality was below standard (cold, not cooked well, etc). Even my kids didn't want to try the food. It was not disgusting, but it was not right either. Sincerely we thought it was some kind of retaliation to the order fiasco, and we've figured the kitchen/waitress stuff did "something" to our food.
At that point we were very upset, so we paid (yes, we've paid them) and left to never returned to the...
Read moreI I worked for them on route 2a. Rite before they shut down. It's was an unfortunate night my boss came in looking not so good. He closed the restaurant while he sat in the smoking section just counting 100 dollar bills while almost falling out his seat. I called Bobby his nephew. He came to get him it was business as usual. But I never seen my boss again I think his name was John. He passed away that night sadly. But rite after all that the funeral everyone who worked there got fired. It was like hush ,hush, about it all. They hired new staff while the ones who were there grieving with the family were out of work. I was kicked out my home and homeless living in my car as I didn't know many people I had just moved the area. To make things worse I don't remember receiving unemployed. I think I might have gotten a little like 50 bucks a week. They were shorting my hours I remember constantly. I would always complain. And it was allways the same answer . I you don't like working here then I can hire someone in yr place. But I did like working there. I didn't like how I was treated tho. The whole thing was...
