Sabor Especial — Restaurant in Chelsea

I stumbled across this tiny little latin american food place when I was making a trip to various nearby restaurant supply stores and noticed it from the Tobin bridge. Knowing that so much of the latino worker community lives in this area, this white boy from Boston took a chance and has since made several trips back just to eat in this former tire store. There is very little English on the menu, though there are pictures. Little English is spoken by the staff, too. That said, between the affable staff, the international language of food, and your smartphone, even if you know no Spanish, you'll be able to get by. Forget what you thought you knew about latin flavors -- this is some of the most flavorful food I've eaten in my life, and I've never spent more than $12. I'm almost afraid to tell people about it. Not that I don't want them to have the business, but they already do quite well serving the people who live there, and I'd hate to be the jerk who ruined a neighborhood restaurant by sending in jerks from Boston. Only giving this place one star because I didn’t get a chance to taste their food but their horchata was pretty good. My mom and I ordered bfast and pupusas to sit down and eat. We waited nearly a hour and saw people come in and out with their food orders. The women working watched us sit there, smiled at us and never once asked us if we needed anything else. We asked how much longer our food would take, and they said our food had been ready for sometime but it was packed to go. I used to eat picada’s as a kid it would come with wings, salad, chicken, jalapeno poppers it was so good and I decided to get it again after years and it was awful. It used to be a lot fresher, now it’s greasy food and they dont put a lot of the stuff as they claimed on the phone. If you buy one you will only get a lot of tortilla chips and fries, barely any carne, barley chicharrones, barely vegetables, my pan had 3 wings?
