Im being honest here. I have bought, sold and pawned jewelry here and have always had a fair and honest experience. They sell jewelry for way less than other jewelers, I know this for a fact after selling a ring from gold mine from an ex and getting double what he paid. As far as selling and pawning, they are fair and give you the weight of the gold or silver, NOT the price of PURE .9999% GOLD YOU THINK YOUR GOLD IS WORTH.THAT YOU LOOKED UP ON THE INTERNET. I feel like the negative comments in the reviews are people that are upset because they didn't get enough money for Granny's stolen old jewelry and plastic bag full of silverware to get out of a jam or a big enough bag further down on broadway. Gold mine also gives you every chance possible when it comes to your loan. If you miss a payment they call you they send you certified letters. Some People might be upset because they let their personal possessions go for non payment. Some in the reviews are crying about 1 or 2 % interest rates higher than competitors. Nobody made you pawn your stuff here. Come on, be serious.That's not why you lost your jewelry. As far as i'm concerned they can charge whatever they want. They are basically holding your stuff for you and giving you cash. Of course they deserve a percentage for providing that service. The bank isn't giving you a loan or we wouldn't be talking about this. I'm not perfect. I lost some of my stuff as well. But I certainly don't blame goldmine for it. I blame myself for not paying the loan. The moral of the story is, the store is great, the staff is friendly, it is safe and you have to be buzzed into the store, they are non-judgmental. No matter what excuse you give for why you are trying to sell every single piece of what looks like gold you could find in your entire family home. Bring an ID! Whether you are buying selling or getting a loan for your jewelry, just go check the place out for yourself. Don't read the negative comments. One more thing, couples thinking of getting engaged, you can put Ten percent down on a ring or diamond and take a year to pay it off. Just because it comes from a pawnshop doesn't mean it's used. And it will probably be worth double what you end up...

Have done business here in the past and had good experiences. Today however I was only offered 2% rather than 35% of the spot price, then they tried to completely ignore the fact the piece has several diamonds in it. Gold is on the high end today, very high actually, first they denied this, which is just insulting to my intelligence! Anyone can look up the market rate and most of us can do basic math. *Update Response This business has responded, denying the facts. At the time I wrote the original review I had the numbers offered and price point on market, unfortunately that was over a year ago and I no longer have that proof. However I'm NOT mistaken and I was accurate in my review and claim. Please do not try and suggest I've made a mistake when I know what was offered and what the market rate was. I do not gain anything from these reviews and am as honest as possible before I write. It insults mine and readers intelligence to say it didn't happen when there is obviously no reason here for dishonesty on my part, it doesn't reflect well on you. ...

I don’t really understand the negative reviews, as this happens to be my favorite jewelry store ! Their products are amazing quality and their prices are unmatched ! I have been purchasing items from here for years and they have lasted me ! I have purchased jewelry from other expensive jewelry stores and the product quality was poor and somehow I ended back at the Goldmine fixing other shop’s products. The staff is always very friendly and at some point I was there every other week because I had a chain that kept breaking like all the time. This was a rare piece so I kept getting it fixed and they were always very helpful and friendly ! I have recommended this shop to a few family and friends and they have also had good experiences ! I no longer live close to the area but even then, I am willing to travel to this shop because they have always taken good care of me. Don’t be fooled by the negative reviews.
