I honestly don’t know how this place is so highly rated. They have an expansive menu which seems impressive but it’s obvious that they can’t cook some of the items properly. We got an array of items and was not impressed overall. Example: I ordered a chili relleno platter and the rellenos were encased in an egg omelette rather than an egg-flour batter and tasted horrible. Plus it was not fresh. The chips were stale and stacked in boxes that touched the floor where customers walked. I love a good hole in the wall restaurant but this place lacks charm and needs a serious overhaul with cleaning and more. I would be curious what their last grade was with the health department.
PROS: The house chili rojo sauce that covers some of the plates was delicious and the house rice and beans are very good. But I would seriously recommend minimizing the menu and focus on items that the cook can...
Read moreFound this place via google maps and decided to pay them a visit. I ordered to go as I had just checked-in in a near by hotel, and was tired after a 7hr drive. They were kind and polite. I placed my order to go and took it back to the hotel. I ordered the Pobre Arturo plate and a Verde Burrito, and to my surprise, they portions were huge, and the food was very, very good. I ordered from them for most of the duration of my stay. I am from South Texas, and can tell you that their food is as authentic as it gets. The next day the owner told me he has family in Texas as well, it was a nice surprise and I guess that’s where the flavor comes from. Today I visited them after work, and I got their Carne Asada y Más plate, and it did not disappoint. My assignment has ended here, but if I’m ever in the area again, I will ...
Read moreThis place is amazing, you cannot visit Cheney without eating here. They serve delicious Mexican food with a very well priced and affordable menu, and hands down the best Mexican food in Cheney The guys there are extremely nice and provide great customer service. They are very happy to serve you and always recognize their returning customers and locals. The restaurant is more of a smaller, taqueria-styled restaurant that is a great place to eat at (and I would highly recommend over El Rodeo or any other). The chips and salsa are very good - and they make their own chips. They are very quick to replace or offer you more chips and/or salsa if you go through them. The to-go option is always nice and pretty quick. Overall, this is a must-eat at restaurant and I highly...
