Wish i could give 0 stars, WORST SERVICE EVER DO NOT GO TO CHENEY CHINESE GARDENS. Terrible service & food. Had to ask twice for hot tea. Tea had a gross floating (looked like meat) in water. Never received soup. My mom revived her food, which was cold. She was finished eating (she is elderly), when my husband received part of his dish. I asked are we only going to receive one dish at a time? The gal said yes because they are busy! So I will have to wait for my dish, because they have to go orders. This is crazy! Come to find out the waitress (young gal, dark hair) is the new owner. I explained we dod not want to experiance our family dinner this way and its bad business. If they are to busy to handle to go orders and dine in dhe needs to hire more people and if she doesn't fix these issues she will be out of business in no time. Cheney is to small for this type of bad business. She had no idea that people come to eat dinner together, not one plate at a time. worst service and food I have experiance! For real no joke. BTW it was a Wed night at 7:00, not a generally busy...
Read moreWish i didn't have to give them any stars. WORST FOOD EVER. We loved this place for three years because the food was so good so when we saw that it reopened we went in for a takeout order. We ordered three things, our favorite and yes we did expect some changes because it was under new owners. When i got home, i did not even recognize what we were eating. I ordered the teriyaki chicken, broccoli beef, and sweet and sour chicken. The teriyaki chicken was not teriyaki chicken. It was chicken fat very chewy and gross in what seemed to be a weird grey sauce. The broccoli beef was just weird. The beef was grey. Like light grey totally not what beef tastes like. Oh and we got lo mein noodles and they were soggy and swollen and nasty. I even took it back because it was not the food i ordered and she said that it was correct and that for the teriyaki chicken, they DO NOT USE TERIYAKI SAUCE FOR THE TERIYAKI CHICKEN. The picture below is what they call teriyaki chicken.... We will not...
Read moreNew ownership; not the same Chinese Garden it once was. I hate leaving this review but the food was inedible and was a very sad, disappointing experience for my family. We are not picky and rarely go out. We paid and left our food without eating it. We went to a fast food restaurant afterwards which put us out even more money. The food was not authentic in the least: dishes lacked freshness and vegetables, meat was extremely low grade (chicken resembled fatty fried chicken pattys), sauces were an offputting grey/brown and gelatinous, noodles in lo mein were overcooked thick speghetti noodles. I suggest the new owners cut down their menu to a few things and do them well with quality ingredients. This resembled cafeteria food. Old owners are now at Lu's Asian Bistro in South Hill after doing doing some research if you miss your...
