Stateline Plaza Restaurant — Restaurant in Cherokee Village

The waitress was not bad. She did take a while to refill the drinks. The atmosphere was very standoff-ish and not friendly. The walls were bare and it smelled like they had sprayed clorox everywhere. Our total for 2 adults and 2 children who ordered $4 dishes was $50! Ridiculous! Not a single entree under $12, no burgers under $10 and to add basic toppings they charged an extra $1. The ranch (which the old Stateline was know for) was absolutely disgusting. My burger which was a regular cheeseburger was not even able to be picked up and ate! I had to cut it up and use a fork due to it falling apart anytime I touched it. My husband got a burger as well and was equally displeased. My children got hot dogs and chicken nuggets. The hotdogs was a basic $.99 hot dog that was barely cooked on a stale bun.... The "chicken nuggets" had such a hard crust on the outside my 2 year old could not eat them. Half of things were served in plastic boats whereas the others were served in fine dining bowls? Setted extremely fast. Waitress was busy flirting with a railroader to wait on us. After 20 min she finally came over to us and tried to refuse breakfast orders because it was after 11 at that point. The cook agreed to serve us breakfast. The waitress took our orders and went right back to sit with the railroader. Our order was brought out, our waitress didn't even set the items down in front front of us just plopped them down and went straight back to flirting. The entire time she sat right behind us flirting with a man 15 years older than her, making sure his food was ok and that his drink was full and sitting down at his table. Our food want actually done right but we think the waitress wrote it wrong. Although sausage tastes bad. Wow. We've been here a few times now. Always friendly prompt service and good food.

This time was different as far as service. We sat at table 12 around 10 am on Sun the 18th of August '24. Our waitress was awful. She was rude and short with us. We definitely felt unwelcome, to say the least. She slapped things down on the table. And was really bothered by us asking about the menu. Really ruined our Sunday morning vibe. She forgot to ask about certain sides so we got what we got. No creamer, asked twice. No syrup, no butter, no Catsup. Just an angry person with no manners and alot of Attitude.

We will be back cause most of the folks are friendly and happy to serve. But we will make a point not to be seated in her section, if she's still there.
