Listen. I really want to like this place. The atmosphere is nice, food is pretty good for the price, and they have a friendly staff. However; as friendly as they are, the service is not. good. It’s... terrible. (Friendly does not equal being hospitable).
I’ve come the past couple weeks with friends and they are ~severely~ understaffed. Last week it took an hour to get my drink - because it was “on its way” and then because “another waiter took the drinks from the bar” and then they couldn’t even make anymore because they ran out of an ingredient. Nothing was offered in return, I just had to order another drink and wait.
Mind you, I come for the drag shows that go from 8pm-10pm. The show is half over at this point.
Why only one bartender on a night you know there’s going to be a lot of customers? Idk.
Here we are, another week, another drag show. Bringing a friend who hasn’t attended yet, and gave him a quick warning on the service experience last week praying that the staff redeems themselves.
Sure enough, everyone at my table received their drinks, and an hour later I’m still drink-less. (Why me again??)
When I walk up to the bar to kindly ask the singular bartender, she just says it’s on its way. Meanwhile, people have figured out that it’s much faster to walk up and order from the bar rather than put in with waiters, so I’m watching people get their second, third drinks, while I’m just trying to get started.
I ask her to just change my drink to something more simple since that must have been why it was taking so long. She says sure, but the drink still never shows up.
Here we are... an hour in again.
My friends are all hungry, our waitress did not come back once after taking our drink orders. She eventually shows up, we talk quickly about my missing drinks/exchange with the bartender, she apologizes, and grabs me something
Fast forward, it’s 9:30, our food arrives and we have like 20 minutes to quickly eat before they start promptly kicking people out. The check comes and it’s hundreds of dollars because we are a big party. I notice my initial drink on there so I bring it to our waitresses attention (see? remember the conversation we just had? This is that drink we discussed..)
She goes to check with the bartender and says “well the bartender said this drink was sent out so we can’t take it off”
....
Honey.
We just talked about this.
Also no one has bussed our table the entire time so you can just look at the drinks on the table and see it did not come. (It was one of those obnoxious bucket drinks. I figured ordering a big drink would save me the headache of trying to order additional drinks. I was wrong.)
Anyways, my friends all get mad for me and get into it with the waitress and manager. Like we’re not trying to pull a quick one here...it’s $15 off a tab that’s hundreds of dollars.
Got asked on the way out “will you guys be coming back next week?” Here’s a hint: you shouldn’t have to ask. Makes us come back through good hospitality.
TL;DR —
This place needs more people working and a lesson in taking care of their customers.
