foodwerx featuring Nicholas Caterers — Restaurant in Cherry Hill Township

We were married on July 7, 2023 at the Camden County Boathouse. We decided to use Foodwerx as our caterer because of the high quality reviews we had read much about, but also in no small part because we had read about what a great day-of coordinator Roxanne was! We discovered that, to no surprise, she was so much more! Roxanne helped us curate our menu from the ground up, and so much more than that.

We loved the food and every guest from our wedding raved about not only the quality of the food, but the incredible variety and styles of food offered. We went with the Fun Package, and it was everything we could have hoped for. The hors d'oeuvres were wonderful, especially the coconut shrimp and the cheesesteak dumplings. The street food was also delicious, with many loving the Thai sesame noodles with pork pot stickers in particular (it was served with chopsticks in a Chinese food carton!). The entrees were also delectable. And the capper was a wonderful ice cream sundae bar in lieu of a traditional wedding cake. The sundae bar played really well on a hot summer day!

Beyond the food, the catering staff was outstanding. They dutifully served all our guests, and as led by Roxanne, had everything ready to go exactly as they had planned. The ballroom was astonishing at first sight and dinner was provided as soon as we finished first dances and toasts. Once dinner was over, the ballroom was cleared out and we were ready for dancing and an evening of revelry. All along the way, we as bride and groom, were hand served by Roxanne and her staff, with plates of appetizers and dinner made for us while we attended to our many guests. Drinks were served to us, too!

But, the best part of our experience with Foodwerx was working with Roxanne. As mentioned, she helped us create our menu, but additionally assisted us in many of the decisions we made about the design of our wedding, the floor plan, when to send out invitations, and so much more. And even though we didn’t actually meet her in person until the day of the wedding (in spite of having spoken to her at least a dozen times), we felt like we knew her incredibly well. Watching her work on the day of the wedding was mesmerizing, as she flawlessly coordinated multiple aspects of our big day, while never once showing a sign of frustration; in fact, she had the cheeriest smile we’ve ever seen! She was as instrumental to our wedding going as we had hoped as anyone else involved, and we are eternally grateful to her for making our wedding night, without a doubt, the best night...

Saturday, March 26th 2022 was the best day of my life. I married the love of my life and our wedding day was beautifully seamless and our experience surpassed all expectations due to the wedding day coordination and sumptuous catering services provided by Roxanne DeHart and Foodwerx Caterers. When my now husband and I discussed what our priorities were when it came to our wedding day, our number one priority was a no brainer: food and beverage. My husband and I love to eat amazing food and most of our fondest memories involve enjoying an amazing meal! Our wedding food and beverage had to be incredible and the decision was made to look for and hopefully secure a top catering company near Mt. Laurel, NJ for our wedding day. A bit a research and abundantly positive Google and Yelp reviews brought me to Foodwerx Catering. Along with their catering packages, Foodwerx offered the services of a day of coordinator, Roxanne. Going with Foodwerx and utilizing the services of Roxanne was the best decision we made regarding our wedding day. Roxanne’s attention to detail, planning, timeline management, coordination of vendors, communication, vast experience, aesthetic, logistical expertise, and most importantly, warm and kind heart are everything a couple needs to ensure that their wedding event exceeds every expectation. Every bump in the road or unexpected turn of events was handled calmly, promptly, and professionally. Adding additional décor flourish to our reception area; she handled it. Adjusting our timeline to ensure that our photographers got cake cutting shots before our contractual end time; she handled it. Last minute realization that a generator was needed for the outdoor kitchen; she handled it. Simply put, she worked magic at every turn to ensure that we had the best day possible. Now, the food. There are almost no words for how incredibly the food was prepared, served, and how much our guests enjoyed. Our families are not easy to please when it comes to food. Therefore, cookie cutter lukewarm generic wedding food was NOT AN OPTION for our day. Foodwerx surpassed all expectations by providing food that was scratch made on site, served hot and fresh, and was unbelievably flavorful and delicious. I cannot begin to express how thankful I am for all of Roxanne and Foodwerx’s tireless efforts. Bottom line, if you are looking for an exemplary culinary and wedding day coordinating experience, look no further...

IF I could give half of a star, I would. I recently attended a wedding at the camden county boathouse. The actual boathouse was beautiful. Foodwerx was the caterer and they were TERRIBLE.... The food was packed up before all of the wedding guests were able to get into the buffet line. I found myself being the one to tell tables on our side of the room that it was time for them to go get something to eat. (It's a good thing I did or else they would not have gotten anything to eat) Wedding Cake.... the majority of the guests didnt even see wedding cake. Desserts weren't served.We were told the cake was packed up for the "after party" that didn't exist. Roxanne was the queen of disappearing. ROXANNE WAS TERRIBLE. She was rude, unorganized and was not approachable. As an immediate family member of the grooms family, she was not very welcoming when she was approached by me and other members of the family. Any time I would approach her with questions as I was the mother of a child who was in the wedding, she would rush me away and was very sarcastic and not nice. I feel like there is not enough time in the day to explain how awful she was. This is not her calling. She is not good at her job. She rushed us away and was full of empty promises. She would only say what we wanted to hear and then not make good on what she said she was going to do.

Roxanne argued with the brides parents in front of the whole bridal party before they were introduced to all of the guests. (Very uncomfortable to witness that in front of children) She was supposed to order champagne glasses as the brides father purchased champagne for a champagne toast. She stated to both the bride's mother and father that " I WOULD KNOW IF THERE WAS CHAMPAGNE BECAUSE I WAS THE ONE TO ORDER THE GLASSED AND THERE ARE NO CHAMPAGNE GLASSES".

I also would like to say that there were handicapped guests that she did not assist with special accommodations for them even after it was requested. I requested assistance to her directly multiple times just to have her disappear. I was the one who had to assist the handicapped guests as she was not helpful to them AT ALL!!! Not impressed and I WOULD NOT HIRE ROXANNE AGAIN! I feel sorry for the people who have to work for her!!!
