I've been back twice with my 2nd dining experience ordering hibachi chicken with fried rice. That time we had an order of spring rolls which were very good. Hubby had chicken teriyaki again (he's a once he finds something good he'll eat it til the end of time guy) and loved it.

I had chicken teriyaki take out with spring rolls. Y'all, you know how when you order TO it doesn't typically live up to the in dining experience both in quality and quantity? Well, my TO DID live up to an in dining experience. The packaging was just so darn neat that I spent the first 5 minutes exclaiming to myself that it was the neatest, fullest order of take out I've ever had. And, it was just as good as when hubby ordered it our first time eating there.

I noticed on my last 2 visits that the word must have gotten out as there were a lot more diners than our first Saturday afternoon visit.

This place is so special that when I arrived a few minutes early for my take out the owner apologized to me for the wait.

Y'all, this is for sure a stop to add into your restaurant line up.

Ps, on my original visit we had tempura veggies as an appetizer and they were so good! Light and crispy without any greasy residue left on the lace paper doily. The dipping sauce was some of the best I've had.

The owners are really attentive and genuinely concerned about your dining experience.

I highly...

Great Bridge's hidden gem!! Outstanding service, excellent food quality, prepared perfectly, and served by a warm, friendly staff! My wife and I decided to try this NEW restaurant which is located in the Great Bridge Marketplace @ 500 S. Battlefield Blvd, in the heart of Great Bridge. We started off with an appetizer of Shrimp Tempura, which was perfectly done, and then decided to have a 2nd appetizer of Vegetable Tempura, also perfectly done. My wife ordered the Shrimp Hibachi, I had the Filet Mignon, Med-Rare cooked exactly the way it should be...nice warm, red center with a nice char on the outside. Each dinner was accompanied by a wonderful Miso soup (Tofu was done well, although I am typically not a fan), the broth had excellent flavor. Salad was the next course with their homemade ginger dressing, also excellent. The fried rice was the best I have ever had, not greasy, not dry, perfectly moist and tender. It's nice to finally get a quality Japanese restaurant in Great Bridge. We will definitely be...

I found my new favorite restaurant , Tokyo! The sushi is excellent & the spring rolls were the best I’ve had in quite a while! Also, the menu is extensive & has something for everyone! I cannot complete this review without mentioning the excellent service which added to the pleasure of our experience. Lisa, our server, was knowledgeable, and oh, so helpful. When we asked about the level of spiciness of a sauce, we were brought a small taste to try it out. When my friend asked about the miso soup, I mentioned I didn’t care for miso. Lisa suggested I try their miso - it might surprise me. It did! I will definitely order it next time! Lisa was attentive without being intrusive and as my friend & I sat & chatted over dinner, we never felt rushed. We enjoyed a very nice Pinot Noir which was better than expected & reasonably priced. Tokyo Restaurant is locally owned & operated & the chef, family & staff will make you glad you stayed in Chesapeake for an excellent...

This was our first time visiting this restaurant, and OMG, they did NOT disappoint!! The service was amazing, quick and efficient, restaurant was clean and the food was phenomenal!! Not your traditional cook in front of you hibachi, but amazing nonetheless. I had the filet and shrimp with fried rice and hubby had the filet and chicken with white rice. SO GOOD! Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for good hibachi without the hoopla. They had a lot of options for sushi and sashimi, as well as happy hour specials. We will definitely be back!
