Hanks is a place where you can find the community in a bar and I absolutely love it! I’ve been here twice and if it wasn’t for the people I met outside or at the bar I probably wouldn’t have came back because the service from the bartenders doesn’t match the amazing energy of the people. I’m not going to say that it’s a racial issue but it’s definitely an issue I’ve noticed that when I walk in with my partner and friend we get stared down and looked at uninvitedly and it’s not the best feeling when you just want to come in and really enjoy the vibe you get from the community.

The experience that I received from the bartenders twice now, is why I’m leaving a review because the atmosphere itself is very nice but the service from the two female bartenders made me not want to come back, it had me wanting to spend my money and time elsewhere, but like I mentioned it’s the community “fellowship” of the people that had us...

There are no words to explain this place. I came to VA to work this winter and googled taverns next to me. Hanks came up, it was .5 miles away. I'm so glad I tried it. I met John and Tina as soon as I walked in the door. They said hello before I even sat down. If you need a place to shake off your days troubles and feel welcomed, this is the place. The bartenders l, the owners, TOP NOTCH. I can't say enough good words about this place. So let's talk about the patrons of this place. They extend there hand to all people. I ended up getting invited to a BBQ at jess's house, and felt like I was home.Thank you to the whole gang. Guy Rowdy, Jason , Becky, Jess, John, Tina, Allen Mike, Mike repass, Trevor, Rebecca, Jim and his lovely wife(also owners) Wendy, Steve and sandy, carl(dirt tracker)and his better half and Gary. Gary sent me home with gifts that will last a lifetime. I love you guys, u will never forget...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a remarkable bar in town where my friends and I experienced an evening filled with delightful drinks, lively ambiance, and exceptional service. Tiffany and Morgan, the talented bartenders behind the counter, truly made our night one to remember.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles. The bar itself had an inviting and vibrant atmosphere. The dimmed lighting, combined with great music, created the perfect backdrop for a night out with friends!!
