Customer service, at any establishment, plays a major role in my reviews. This was our first time. We were greeted when we walked in, which was a good thing and I felt that set the vibe for the remainder of our experience. I was wrong. Keep in mind that it was NOT busy at all The issue was with the one cashier who rushed us, while my bf was looking at the pastries in the glass case. We drove from Norfolk and he was excited because someone raved about the milk cake and he wanted to try it. She started rushing us while we were looking (we literally were not there long at all).

He asked the cashier if they had any left and in a really dismissive tone “no.” He then asked if she knew when they may be making more and she was dismissive again. He then asked “will anymore be made today?” After asking her again she finally says “more would be made today.”

At this point, the other super sweet employee helping behind the counter overheard it, and she was so cheerful and ran to the back to ask the baker. She came back and said he is icing it and it will be out in 15 minutes. She even said she will bring it out to us. She was amazing and really made us feel welcome!!

To the restaurant:

Do you expect new customers to come in already knowing what they want without browsing the case?

Would it have killed your main cashier to say “sorry we are out but let me go check.” Instead it was just “no” and being short with us.

If you read through this review, I hope that things will be different during our next visit because I really loved the vanilla snow...

Today I tried the following; Pistachio Macarons, Nutella Macarons, Taro cake, and an iced Pistachio Latte (gluten free + coffee and tea free).

Pistachio Macarons - a 10/10 with real pistachio filling rather than some cheap flavored cream.

Nutella Macarons - 5/10 the filling was disappointing, as a Nutella lover, I can say with confidence that they did not use Nutella, it was more like chocolate (Hershey's) filling. The outside had the perfect crunch and was very yummy.

Taro Cake - 8/10 the sponge cake resembled a slightly drier tres leches, it was so moist but not at all soggy. The creamy whipped topping had a coconut aftertaste, I loved this.

Iced Pistachio Latte - 10/10 did not expect this to be so good, creamy and sweet but not overbearing, the pistachio flavor really shines in this drink, I used a soy milk base rather than cows milk and it was so delicious.

Issues: I originally ordered a dozen (12) pistachio macarons, and they gave them to me out of the fridge rather than the display. I noticed immediately that they were hard as a rock and hard to bite into, however they refunded me 6 macarons. I understand that they have to refrigerate them to preserve them so I have no complaints about this little mishap.

All in all I think this place deserves a 10/10! Excellent sweets, drinks, customer service,...

I went on a Saturday around 5-6. They were well stocked. I’ve been on the hunt for good macarons for a while, and I’m happy to say that these ones are a solid hit. I’m not sure what time the macarons were made, but they tasted fresh. They were pleasantly soft, with a thin shell that gave the slightest crunch. They are creamy and a bit on the sweet side. I got a half dozen, and have only had 2 so far (Ube and salted caramel). I preferred the Ube one, and the flavor is consistent throughout. The salted caramel has a cream frosting with salted caramel in the middle. I think I was confused a little when my first bite didn’t have any salted caramel flavor, but my second bite (when I hit the middle) was better. I stopped at 2 because they are a bit on the sweet side and rich.

Overall, I am really impressed so far. The packaging is cute, the flavor and texture is good. They are both decadent and dainty.

I think a box of these would make a GREAT gift for anyone who likes these kinds of sweets. Tie the box up with a little white ribbon, and you’ve got a nice, thoughtful gift.

The coffee is good too. I got a regular iced coffee (black), and I really enjoyed it. No bitterness, and a nice robust flavor.
