Absolutely furious. Two Christmases ago, my husband bought me a gift card with $80 on it for this place. I had been going there all the time, loved their Poke bowls, and was ecstatic to be able to use it. And then covid-19 came along, so they stopped taking the gift cards. I assume this is because they have to process it as cash on the register or something. For a while, a lot of businesses were not taking cash, which was understandable. So, I waited. Just today, I went there to see if they started taking them again, and mysteriously, the balance on my gift card has gone to zero. Not only am I very upset that I STILL couldn't use my gift card, but my husband is even MORE angry because he loaded a ton of money that never got used and suddenly disappeared. When I tried to explain this to the girl that rang me up, she just kept saying she was sorry, but chuckled as she said it. Absolutely no way are we bringing our business...
Read morePerhaps we're just more used to Japan as we had just completed a tour there. The service - I flagged the lady as it was front door of the shop service only, and when she showed up outside I showed her my ID and asked her if it was ok to take the food and she was like "well that's your food." Ok petty right they said 30 minutes but pretty sure they had it out at 15 to 20. Good for that. As far as taste everything was bland. I ordered the spicy miso, Shoyu, takoyaki, shrimp tempura, and some jelly and boba drinks. Drinks were excellent. Again the food was bland. Portion was good, spicy was ok, shrimp tempura was sure, and takoyaki had some flavor because of the sirachamayo. Other than that not sure why this place has 4 and 1/2 stars. If i could rate a 2 1/2 i would. But it only allowed for 3 and deserves more than a 2. I hope someone in Japan that does ramen moves here. Oh...
Read moreTheir bubble tea is the worst I've even had in my life. The bubbles are stuck together, and the "tea" tasted like milk with sweetener. I was thirsty so I just drank it like it's milk, but I couldn't finish the bubbles because they are wayyyy overcooked and it was stuck together and turned into a big piece of gluey thing that's not edible.
The service is also meh. I walked in and the lady just said "hi" but it was my first time here and I had no idea what I was doing. I stood there for a good 5 seconds and she still didn't say a word, which was very awkward. Then I figured out that I need to put in my order on those IPads. I don't feel welcomed here and the bubble tea...
