Whale Tea Chesapeake — Restaurant in Chesapeake

I had a nice visit to this Boba tea place. The environment was friendly and welcoming, which made for a relaxing atmosphere. I enjoyed my Thai tea - it was delicious! My sister ordered a milk tea and a crêpe cake, both of which were fantastic and definitely worth trying.

However, I was a bit disappointed with the customer service. We didn’t feel quite as welcomed as we would have liked, and the staff didn’t really engage or speak much during our visit. Even after receiving our drinks, we said thank you, but didn’t get any response, which felt a bit impersonal.

Overall, the food was great and definitely worth a visit, but I think the customer service could be improved to make the experience even better. Would recommend for the drinks and treats, but hope to see more warmth from the staff...

Whale Tea Chesapeake is an absolute gem!

Every time we cross the bridge, it’s a must-stop for me. The atmosphere is so inviting, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Their bubble tea is simply out of this world creative, delicious, and beautifully presented. I’m especially a fan of their taro drinks, which are made with real taro, and their crème brûlée options, which strike the perfect balance of sweetness. The store is always clean and bright, making it a pleasant spot to relax and enjoy a treat. If you’re in the area, I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s a bubble tea lover’s paradise! I reccomend anyone to stop here and experince it...

I wish I could leave 0, but this will have to do. I lovveee boba and I feel the quality of my boba has been tampered with. Because of one sided prejudice. I have been to other whale tea locations and have had wonderful experiences. My orders where beyond delicious. However every time I go to this location my orders are terrible and even once gave me terrible food poisoning. I do not wish to accuse the staff of POISONING ME however when I go with my friends (who are not black) their boba tastes the way it is supposed to. If you are black and go here please let me know if I’m tripping or not 🤷🏽‍♀️. Needless to say I will never be attending this...
