Thai Riverside — Restaurant in Chester

I have gone to this restaurant numerous times and the food is always good but the service is always terrible. In fact, it seems like the service is getting worse instead of better. My family and I have returned because the food is good but tonight may be our breaking point. We ordered takeout to avoid the poor service but couldn’t escape it. We ordered online and and when we arrived to pick up our food it was a 40 minute wait which is not unreasonable for a Friday night at peak hours. When we arrived at the time that they told us to, we had to wait an additional 40 minutes. An hour and 20 minutes!! Several people were in the same situation as we were and we were all frustrated. I watched the employees turn away six to eight parties due to full tables and when the tables opened up there was no staff to clean them and no patrons waiting to fill them because they had been turned away. I placed on order based on a menu from the restaurant and when I went to pick it up the cost was higher and they claimed I was using an old menu. I picked up a menu right there in the restaurant and showed them the price was the same as the menu I was using and was told "oh that isn't correct you have to go online to get the correct price". How is it legal to have a menu in the restaurant that lists the price but you charge something different? I decided to get the food anyway and upon returning home noticed on my receipt that every item had an additional $.68 cents attached to it. When I called to ask why I was told it was a charge for using my credit card. I said there is no sign saying I will be charged more for using a credit card. They said there is a sign saying discount for cash. I explained that means you charge less for cash but does not explain that you will be charged more for using your card. I have ordered takeout from here a couple times now and have always been happy with the food and the service. The Pad Thai is delicious, tastes like a classic Pad Thai I know and is my fav. I love that when you order online you can customize your meals since I have a couple of food intolerances that can be very difficult to avoid in many meals. The service has always been pleasant.
