Food was fine but the blond lady working the counter is a weirdo. We walked in and the person in front of us was done ordering, we proceeded to the counter and this lady just stared at us, no good morning no can I help you, nothing. So I greeted her with a good morning and she just stared at me. She took our order with no thank you, no nothing. Ok whatever, maybe she’s just not very friendly. All the tables were taken but at one point other customers left so we took a seat at the vacant table to wait. This same blonde lady came over and started wiping the table without warning, swiping the crumbs onto us. I almost left at this point but we were hungry. You can tell this place is very unfriendly to outsiders, as we watched as people that were clearly locals came in and they were greeted and treated as customers are typically treated. My husband was sitting in front of one of the coolers and another woman who seemed to also work there came and stood right next to him staring. Eventually she said I need to get in the cooler. The word you may have been looking for was excuse me???? Instead of just staring at someone??? When our food was finally ready the first blond lady came out, plopped it on the table and walked away, with no thanks, no have a good day, no enjoy, no nothing. Read moreFirst time at The Villager. Let me just say...holy smokes, was that a great sandwich. I'm so delighted, fuzzy inside and absolutely hit the spot. Maybe more. This dudes passion is making food delicious and you can tell. From the grilled roll, to what's that kicked, to fresh tomato. It makes you want to put the sandwich down and enjoy every part of your taste buds. Excellent! Loved the decor too. They have iced coffee and iced tea too. Cash only. I was super hungry so I was difficult at making convo but they're awesome at it. I'll be back to try more. Holy smokes...
Read moreRain, shine, ice storm, pandemic, Kyle and Mike are open before 6am for early birds like myself. I am so lucky to live across the street from my favorite breakfast joint on the shoreline. I leap out of bed, throw on something acceptable and can’t wait to run, hop, sometimes slide on the ice, over to get coffee and my usual. They are kind, hard working, consistent staples of this community. Food is full of variety and always spot on....
