Kim's Bakery — Restaurant in Chesterfield

Kim's Bakery is a breath of fresh air, considering we didn't even know about it! We were on the way to Kim Cheese and my wife saw the sign, so we decided to stop by after lunch. Stopping by was the best decision that we made. So much that we now have a new, closer bakery to get our fix!

The business cards for Kim's Bakery stated that they have quality and are fresh. They were not lying! Their swiss rolls were soft and fluffy; their 'hot-dog bun' cream-filled rolls were very soft. The sponge cake was also very fresh. I don't know how to otherwise describe it. You must experience it for yourself. For those that are wondering what is the difference between a Korean bakery and, let's say, a Chinese bakery, there really isn't much of a difference. A quick browse revealed that many of our favorites were here, i.e. swiss rolls, butter cream rolls, cookies, winter melon cookies.

This location really shines in its presentation of their items. I didn't get a chance to get pictures the first time, as I was floored at how something this nice is tucked away somewhere unassuming. Cute wooden baskets are available for holding your bakery items while browsing. Nice glass display for specialty items such as cheesecake and what looks like chocolate bon-bons. I will take pictures the next time around!

The only thing that I didn't see off hand were beverages. Maxim Gold and hot water would go a long way in a place like this!

I wish I could give 10 stars for them😘 Back in my hometown in Kerala , India if we go to a bakery we get many items like chicken roll , beef roll ,shawarma etc . After moving to USA couple of years ago, I was missing all these because I could only find sweet items like cakes, cookies etc in bakeries here. When I wanted to host a small party for our church’s Christmas Carol rounds, without any hope I was looking for some bakeries that offer items like beef roll and to my surprise I found this bakery. We went there, tried a couple of their items , oh my god everything was delicious. All the bread items are tasty and freshly prepared. Even the sweet items are not super sweet( I don’t like overly sweetened items)like how we see in bakeries here. Their kimchi( contains beef) is my favorite. I ordered 25 of them for my party and everyone loved it. I think they have got some new Indian customers after my party yesterday. I will be definitely be back and will be a regular customer here after😃 I could see many Asian customers there and it is a proof that they are offering the most authentic taste..Sad part, their kimchi will be over by noon almost all days, I would love to have it with a cup of hot indian chai or coffee in...

I’m so happy my sister found this gem!!! Kim’s Bakery is a secret that I want to keep for myself and only share with special people. 🤫 It’s such a find. I believe in a balance that you can have your cake and eat it too especially here!!! Kim’s Bakery treats are not overly sweet, sugary or have that artificial taste. They’ve perfected the balance of delicious and flavorful.

My sister surprised me with a small cake for my birthday that left me feeling so much joy, love and happiness!!!

I literally crave their twist donut!! I’m going to say it’s the BEST donut I’ve ever had!! Yes I said it and it’s my opinion!! It’s cinnamon, light and that crunch on the donut is the game changer for me!!!
