Lefty's Bagels — Restaurant in Chesterfield

I wish them well. Some kinks to work out. The bagels are real--but still some work to do to get the true New York taste of a proper water bagel; the outer chew and inner crumb balance just does not remind me of an expert water bagel. So the bagels get a 4; worlds ahead of a steam bagel. I am knocking one down because of chaotic order process and when I arrived today for the 10:45 pick up--I had to wait in line to learn that it would be at least another 30 minutes for my order. I asked them to cancel and they did so graciously but...

I would have felt more appreciated if they maybe offered a Cup of Joe while I waited--it was a 36 bagel order; and I would have felt just a little appreciated as a customer.

I will give them some time to get used to the order process and try again but if it fails again, I must concede that the Lou remains a bagel desert.😢

Follow up: they did in fact refund the credit card for the bagels, but they didn’t refund the tip that we left. So in essence, I drove all the way out there to be told to have to wait at least 30 minutes in an overcrowded chaotic shop with nothing to do eat or drink and for that privilege...

Some of the best bagels in town, however its over shadowed by poor customer service. The object of any business is to get customers in and out as quickly as possible and with a smile. For some reason, they just can't to that. There are 2 cash registers and employees standing around in the kitchen area and still not helping on the counter.

If there is a line of customers and just maybe one or two of these customer, especially on a Sat only wants 1 bagel to start his or her day, why should they have to wait for 10 minutes to just place their order. There should always be 2 cashiers and they should be picking their own orders and bagging them like they do at BreadCo. quick and efficient. It makes the line move and customers can see progress.

I have told 20 people about Lefty's and a majority all say the same thing. Great bagels, but getting them takes too long. After 2 years of operation, I would think they would have this figured out by now. I do get a smile when I order and a TY, but it needs to be a...

From the menu selections, service with a smile and yes the coffee. I’m a bit of a coffee snob but can’t go wrong with the “Lefty’s brew.” It’s the perfect pairing with my egg bagel, bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich.

My sister turned me on to the hot spot and wow delicious! I will never feel the same about another bagel again. This is my spot. They truly are the best and it’s my “go to” when I’m in the mood for a tantalizing, chewy, soft and tasty bagel.

It doesn’t matter who takes your order because everyone is always helpful, courteous and greats you with a smile. 😃

I’m writing this review now and happily anticipating taking a family member for breakfast and coffee after their doctor’s appointment.
