On Friday 12/10/21 I went in to this particular location in Chesterfield, MO that is only a few minutes away from my home, the same as I frequently and usually do, but the experience I had this particular day ended horrible from the poor customer service from one guy that appeared to be running the store at the time. Although this was nothing like what I've experienced from Seoul Taco prior to this particular day, it was enough to force me to attempt to reach out to upper management to make them aware of the experience that I had, in hopes of assuring that it would never happen again to any other customer, as well as myself being a loyal customer of many locations including their food trucks that would setup near my business that was located in Earth City, pre pandemic.
My experience didn't have to end this way, it was simple, I ordered my food and was going to be dining in, so when I went to the counter to pickup my food I asked the guy if he could squirt some Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce out of the bottle directly onto my tacos instead of me using the packets, as my initial experiences with Seoul Taco were always using the Sriracha right out of the bottle as it taste better to me that way. The guy visibly showed his frustration with me over me asking for this, and his body language was also poor and disrespectful to an adult and any paying customer, so I asked him if there was a problem, he replied with raising his voice and telling me he wouldn't do it again! I felt disrespected, couldn't understand why this was such a big deal, especially considering that each time I visit this particular location, as well as all the others, the simple request was never an issue to be met, so I told him that he could take the food back and issue me a refund. At that point he asked if that was what I wanted instead of taking the time to put himself in the customer's shoes and properly handle the situation, never showing any compassion or care, so from there the issue escalated to a point that could've easily been avoided, with me being disappointed, upset, and demanding a refund. Then after receiving the refund and going to my vehicle, I realized that the incorrect order had been refunded, so once I discovered that, I had to go back inside to let the store know this as now he would have to waste the food, and loose the revenue for my order as well as the wrong order that he refunded, and at this time he started to talk and I was no longer interested, and I explained to him that he created the unnecessary issue and that I just wanted a refund and that I would escalate this issue to someone that would hopefully address it the correct way. On Friday I reached out via messenger to attempt to reach someone that would assure me that they would look into it and address it, and to this moment, I've gotten nowhere, so unfortunately I had to make this public in hopes of having someone to simply address the issue, and assure that minor issues like this that could be easily avoided in the future, are done so by assuring the highest level of customer...
Read moreNever ordering from here again. Customer service presence was a thumbs down. First time experience last night was the worst. If you don't feel like being at work then don't come to work. Your attitude can effect the people around you. Watched an elderly customer ahead of me get yelled at over the phone because he didn't understand how to use the phone service. He was hung up on when he changed his mind about ordering there because of his confusion and the unwillingness to help him understand. My turn comes around and I also get hung up on after telling them to hold so that I could make sure the information I was giving was correct. This is what happened. After double checking on the information given to me, I told the customer service rep. and he said we have to start all over. I didn't mind because of what was going on at the time so I started to repeat myself. He didn't remember what I told him nor did he right it down the first time, so when he asked me to repeat, I had to once again ask him to hold to confirm the information, as I was ordering food for others.10 seconds or less, I come back and no one is there. Read moreHad an impromptu dinner at Seoul Taco. Surprisingly, the place was not packed on a Saturday night. The staff were very friendly and answered our questions about the menu and gave us food suggestions as this was our first visit. We ended up getting a taco sampler (one chicken, one pork and one steak). The spicy pork and bulgogi steak were our favorites for the tacos! The chicken taco had some pineapple flavors but it wasn't our favorite.
We also tried an order of the pot stickers and one bulgogi steak burrito. The potstickers were tasty but super tiny, so you'd need at least 2-3 orders to make up 1 regular size portion.
The bulgogi steak burrito stole the show! The marrying of flavors of the marinated meat coupled with the veggies, rice and special sauce were extraordinary.
It was evident that they use fresh ingredients and authentic spices in their food.
Overall the restaurant had a very welcoming, fun, young vibrant vibe. The decor was bright, colorful and cool. There are ample seating and clean restrooms.
The food was fantastic and the service matched!
