Arby's — Restaurant in Chesterton

I know it's cliche, but if I could give them negative Stars I would. Yesterday around 2pm...They took my order at the drive-thru fairly quick and were super nice, I was the first car up to the window there was no one in front of me and there was a gentleman who was counting a register's change I could hear the coins hitting the plastic. I sat there for a while and then I put the Jeep in park and waited. I waited for someone to just say I'll be with you in a moment or for someone to even acknowledge me. I then turned the Jeep off. I sat there longer waiting for anyone someone to say something while I watched my beverage sit on the counter with its lid on getting watered down by the minute. I eventually just drove away. I've never had that experience in my whole life and I'm 42 years old and unfortunately have years of experience with fast food purchasing. I would recommend that if anyone wants Arby's they don't go to this one. Unless you get lucky and they acknowledge you sitting outside the drive through window which for me, after 10 minutes, they never did. With Gas being 4.00 a gallon.... I couldn't sit there...

Not sure what they're doing at this location; if it's hiring young energetic employees, training management a particular way, the owners make certain efforts, or because it's unionized- probably a combination of all these things- but every time i get the same result. Friendly service, accurate orders, and food that somehow fits or exceeds expectations of fast food consistently. They also support the local community, as last month I got a free milkshake card for donating to a local children's sports team the location was sponsoring. And their shakes and specialty drinks never disappoint, so I was pleased as punch. I tend to get non-beef items for myself due to dietary restrictions, but I won't say I didnt stare longingly at my husband's double beef and cheddar- because hot dog did it look appetizing. Their Buffalo chicken sandwich is pretty good, and the jalapeño poppers are always delicious. Mac and cheese bites were a pleasant surprise to see added to the menu, amd definitely a new family fave. The reuben sandwiches are very decent! Not as thickly-made as the Arby's commercial shows, but very decent for fast-food! Arby's lost a couple stars because they did not fill the order of large curly fries to the top which was a big disappointment. I should have taken a picture of how it was filled and put in the Arby's bag. It was seriously filled about halfway-- no joke or exaggeration. It bothered me so much that the manager should know, so I contacted them after enjoying the wonderful reuben sandwich. Gina, the manager, made it right and said she owes me a free large curly fries. I hope that the person doing the fry filling is reminded how to properly fill them....
