L'Osteria Mondello — Restaurant in Cheyenne

Operating since 1986 as an Italian-American Style Resturant, this such restsurant has been continuing to serve the people of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and even some from out of state.

I came to this such restaurant in pursuit of a cheap slice after a long, restless day of travel from South Dakota in the midst of my return trip back to Fort Collins, Colorado. At first, when I walked into this restaurant, I immediately felt the feel of an Italian Redtaurant with an American appeal, Italian Music was playing in the background, neon signs were present throughout the restaurant, and the presence of the very colors of the flag of Italy were also present in the interior.

The food was spectacular, even after a curious order that I made, and I am blown away by the General Quality that was prevalent. It is not the greatest Italian-style Slice in the World, but from my perspective, their pepperoni pizza is the best in the region for Fast Casual Italian. Additionally, they have some of the largest Garlic Knots you will find in an Italian Restaurant, they also were a perpetual incorporation of garlic, parmesano, and butter incorporated into a perpetual ball of dough, the sauce they came with also was impressive, as was the hospitality, the great staff here gave me an extra slice of Pepperoni Pizza to make up for the lack of 'Pepperoni' on a singular slice that I was to get originally.

Overall, this place, a testament to Italian cuisine that we all should strive to consume is not only an experience, but can also be a experience that will change your exposure to Italian Food in the United States. I would come here again if I could, and I recommend this place to any resident of Cheyenne who has yet...

L'Osteria Mondello, Small World. I used to work here. That was close to 2 years ago. It's hard to describe the sensation of working in a place like this. It's small and busy but genuine. It's like the difference between a good suit and a cheap suit. I started out here as a dishwasher. I would work here for reasonable hours and reasonable pay but the thing I will always remember is the people. Joe and Cesare, Chanrda Moore, Ashley- The pizzeria was a bustling plethora of soul. I had solved so many problems here and caused some by accident. I have made the pizzas. I have cleaned the freezers. I have seen the heart of L'Osterio Mondello and sometimes the pressure can be a bit too much for folks but there Is a flaming, beating heart to be found here. The pizza is solid. Definitely a cut above other chain brands. When there is enough staff? The restaurant Sings like the hills of Arcadia. It's vibrant, rich like song. Sure the place has had some water problems and as someone who had to clean out the occasional Wasp Nest, I can speak with certainty that Joe Mondello, "Iron Joe" as I used to call him, is going to run his restaurant for the rest of his life or die trying. That's how you know it's authentic. I cannot recommend Mondello's enough to casual people. Come in. Experience the truth and all that soft gospel. RAVE RAVE RAVE!!!!

We recently celebrated my daughter’s 6th birthday at Mondello’s, and I can honestly say it was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and cared for. The warm atmosphere, the inviting aroma from the kitchen, and the friendly smiles from the staff instantly set the tone for the night. Our server, Steven, deserves special recognition. He was attentive without ever feeling intrusive, making sure every detail was perfect for our celebration. He went out of his way to make my daughter feel special from greeting her like a VIP to checking in just the right amount to ensure we had everything we needed. His kindness and thoughtfulness made the evening feel personal and memorable. The food, as always, was incredible. Every dish came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor thanks to his recommendations, you can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they do. The portions were generous, the presentation beautiful, and the flavors absolutely spot-on. The quality and care put into the food is exactly why Mondello’s is such a gem in our community.

What really stood out, though, was the overall experience. Birthdays are such special moments for families, and Mondello’s truly made ours unforgettable. My daughter left beaming from ear to ear, and we left feeling grateful for such a wonderful evening.
