BallPark Pub — Restaurant in Chicago

Having just moved our son to the area for school, we were looking for a place to watch the Champion’s League soccer final. We found the BallPark Pub via a Google search and called to ask if they would be televising the soccer match. We were not sure if a soccer match would be televised in a baseball themed pub, but when we called, the person we spoke with said that they would put it on one of the televisions. When we arrived, the pregame broadcast for the soccer match was on one of the TV screens. We sat at a table and when one of the bartenders recognized that we had called, he put the soccer match on one of the bigger screens on a second TV near the table we sat at. We watched the game while enjoying great food and the very friendly atmosphere. The two bartenders, who we learned were the co-owners of the pub, were so friendly and accommodating. We chatted with them about soccer, the White Sox, and their Chicago neighborhood (the pub was within walking distance of the Chicago White Sox stadium). I highly recommend this pub for its friendly owners, staff, and local customers and the great food. We look forward to going back the next time we are on...

Friday night at 7:30… I get you’re busy but we sat at our table for 40 minutes and never got our beers or water…he eventually came with 1 of the 2 burgers we ordered. The tables around us with 6+ people got served drink after drink and we just got looks from the woman… owners wife…behind the bar as she chatted with and served the larger parties. I’m not one to complain but dang this warranted a review. Expectations were not super high since it’s a divey spot. Seems like a chill spot but do NOT come on a busy night with under 6 people if you want a beer…or service. Music was unnecessarily loud also. My boyfriend when up to the bartender to pay for the burger he brought and told him we ordered beers 40 minutes ago and he shrugged and said okay…until my bf repeated himself and he finally half said sorry…… I’m sorry WHAT?? Y’all are wild to be running a business like this. Giving you the benefit of the doubt and hoping it wasn’t because my boyfriend isn’t white. Shadyyyyy

Had a meeting after work and was hungry! Was recommended this place because food was supposed to be really food! Did not dissapoint at all! Tried their signature burger and, oh man was it very good. A great tasting burger it was! Tried their grilled shrimp tacos, those were amazing tacos! If I had room, I would have ordered more for sure! Finally I had to try their pizza, ordered a 14" and I looked good. It was great looking pizza. For me, it was a bit on the salty side for the sauce. Don't get me wrong, it wasn'y bad, just not my prefference for taste, that's all. I thinnk a lot of people might like it. Nice cozy spot. Parking is a bit tight. I can see this place getting packed. I went at a slow time of the day which for me was perfect, no one to bother me and have my space. I recommend you try everything on the menu. For bar food, this place is top notch!
