UPDATE: they did listen to the criticism and dropped their prices to be in line with every other Chicago brewery. However, this whole ordeal leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Who do they think they are that they can waltz into Chicago with their New York beer and fleece us. Their actual New York locations were never that expensive. Imo I’d still skip them and support real Chicago breweries. There have been far too many closing recently and I’d hate this place to cause another one to close.
Have never tried their beer and never will until they lower their prices down to reasonable levels. $16 for a pint is INSANE! Beer at the United Center is only $15 (including tip) for 24oz!! Save your money and go to one of the MANY ACTUAL Chicago breweries we are blessed with in the city, including Marz and...
Read moreI love Other Half's beer but this is more of a full-service bar than a taproom. It makes sense since it's the defacto bar for the theater. With diverse crowds of all ages and preferences they need to cater to as wide an audience as possible. The location is off the beaten path, near the White Sox park. Not too much around yet but the neighborhood serms to be...
Read moreAww, this Other Half 'outpost' is so far from Brooklyn all the way out in Chicago, but good for them for dipping their toe in the crowded brewery market in this town. It did feel much more 'A Brewery attached to The Romova' than 'Other Half Romova,' so maybe their branding needs an upgrade. Pretty sure nothing on the outside said Other Half. Anyway, this brewery is fine. They have a bunch of their parent's beers from NY, and they brew around a half-dozen or so decent things themselves there. There was food, but...
