There was my life before I had the quad patty stacked cheeseburger, and now there is my life after I ate the quad stacked cheeseburger. It was the best burger I've ever had in my life. I got all the fixings, no subs or changes, and I got a side of fries. The order arrived in a very timely manner and it was still BLAZING hot. Fries? incredible. Next time I'm gonna see if I can get a side of their special sauce. absolutely incredible burger. thin thin patties that get all crispy on the outsides and you look at it and feel the weight of it you think "wow, what a beaut' there's no way I'm going to eat all of this. But then you do. It melts into your stomach and the two of you become one, never to be the same.

If you live around Bridgeport DEFINITELY order. I could see how some people would be mad about cold fries but it's like, girl, what do you think is gonna happen to those fries when they drive for 45 minutes?? So if you're farther, I'd say it's really worth it to make the trip. I know for certain that I will be going soon, as I need to shake all of the hands that created such a extraordinary culinary experience.

I won't even take down a star for this because it pales in comparison to the quality of the meal- and I barely needed it at all. The lack of it didn't make an ounce of difference in how passionately I loved this cheeseburger........ that being said ORDER YOUR KETCHUP! I didn't get any. So just remember to get a side of it. Also get a side of their special sauce...... so good with fries good lord.

I had a medical procedure today and I am fully convinced that Red Hot's has cured my pain and soreness. The burger restored my faith in humanity. civilization ain't so bad after all. Thank you SO much for everything you do, Red Hots.

EVERYONE GO TO RED HOTS AND TIP THESE PEOPLE HANDSOMELY. THEY ARE MIRACLE WORKERS, THE HANDS OF GOD AND CHICAGO AND ALL OF YOUR DESIRE- EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD THAT IS GOOD, THAT YOU LOVE, WILL BE FOUND IN YOUR FOOD HERE. God Bless Red Hots. Long may you run. The world is a better place with you in it.

epilougue: don't forget to order...

It has been a long while (over 15 or so months) since I craved for a Chicago-style dog and twice fried fries, but has the hot dog gotten 20-30% smaller?? SMH

Nonetheless, as stated in many Chicago “best of” lists, this place delivers.

Their sport peppers had an excellent heat and sour that complimented the salty / fatty dog and rest of the “garden it dragged through”.

The fries was really good too, I like them twice fried. And they package it like Gene & Judes with the fries wrapped with the dog.

Closed on Sunday’s unless Sox play that day. Go SOX!!!

Side Note: They have RHR burgers in that special sauce. These are excellent burgers (see my Red Hot Ranch review ftom over...

The double dog was DELICIOUS! Perfect snap..warm soft bun..definitely not too pretty but it sure was good. The fries were ok..hand cut..normal..I minus'd a star because I got cheese for my fries and it was disgustingly fake cheese. It was burnt orange in color and tasted like generic powdered cheese..inedible..I just threw it away. But over all highly recommend!! Just do without melted cheese for your fries..lol.

EDIT: So tried their shrimp today and OMG best shrimp I have ever had! I had to see what all the hype was about and I am so glad I did. 2 and a half lbs cost me close to 60 bucks w a pop but idgaf it...

We stopped in before a White Sox game. The service was fast and friendly. We enjoyed all of what we ordered(hamburgers, pound of fried shrimp Chicago dog, polish, and fries). The shrimp was definitely a stand-out! It was fried to perfection, not greasy, and ready-to-eat with no tails. And for $20 a pound, it was worth every penny because it fed three adults. I would definitely come back again. The only ding is for the stools inside that needed new cushions and the picnic table out on the sidewalk that was so crooked, it was almost flat on the ground on one end.

Arguably the best hot dog spot in the Chi. There are a few spots in the city that serve up a good dog, but when I get the craving for a good hot dog, I stop in here. I haven't had a burger or the fried shrimp...yet...but some co-workers have and speak very highly. The fresh cut fries are the real deal...crispy and hot. All that to say, this is a Chicago staple. The prices are very, very reasonable, and the service is A+. It's a cash only spot, but they do have an ATM machine.
