My husband and I were visiting Chicago after 20-25 years from Atlanta. I was craving some Thai food. We made reservation for this restaurant for 9:15pm as they are open till 11:00pm. We were 15 minutes late as the distance was longer than anticipated. I called restaurant to inform that we were on our way and we were informed that kitchen will close at 10:00pm. In Atlanta the Kitchen usually closes 30 minutes before but in Chicago the norm is different. As soon as we enter they asked us to order our food which we diid right away without even looking at 10 page menu. During the entire time waitresses were extremely curt to us. This was the first time in 45years of my stay in USA that I have walked out of restaurant without paying any gratuity. But I sincerely felt that they should be taught a lesson, in case they are willing to learn. One of the waitress had the audacity to ask me that the gratuity was not added as she may have thought I just forgot to add. I told her “Yes, it was not paid because both of you were extremely rude, and where I come from I am not used to being treated like that. I am truly sorry”. If you are in service business it is your duty to make dinning experience pleasant for your customers. I sincerely hope they are more courteous to other guests in future, as the food and ambience of this...
Read moreIf you want an honest review, keep reading. My partner and I arrived for our 7:30 dinner reservation and ordered 2 drinks, 1 appetizer, and 2 entrees.
I understand it was Valentine’s Day and busy, but that doesn't excuse the terrible food and service. We waited 40 minutes for drinks and another 40 for the appetizer, which arrived cold, like it had been sitting in the kitchen forever.
When our main courses finally came after an hour, both were stone cold. The waiter was rude when I complained and took our plates back. After half an hour, my dish was clearly microwaved, and my partner’s was just reheated, drying out the protein and making it inedible.
I can overlook delays due to understaffing, but the quality of the food was beyond disappointing. For over $100, you’d be better off getting takeout from your local Thai place that won’t let you down. The food here is overpriced, flavorless, and served cold. I even heard the table behind us complain about their cold food, only to be told, “this is how it is served.” Save your money and avoid this place, especially for...
Read moreThe food is very good, the happy hour martini’s are very good as well, although the prices are steep, so the place was empty for dinner when we were there. The environment is more of a nicer pub but it’s small. I think the food quality is there, but for what they are charging they need a better planned out space / larger restaurant.
On another note, they use QR codes for menus which I am not a fan of. When the bill came, it was on a portable credit card machine, I remember the amount and tip added, no receipt was offered by the machine or staff (usually you can choose a printed receipt or for one to be emailed), the following day my credit card popped up the total amount billed and there was an extra $10 somehow added. Not sure how this happened but it’s a bit annoying to be overcharged. Double check your bills here.
-1 star for the atmosphere and -1 star for the...
