I ordered biscuits and gravy, glad I went with the half order , 2 eggs 2 French toast and 2 bacon.. I'll start with the biscuits n gravy, the gravy itself was okay but the biscuits were somewhat sweet not what you expect from biscuits and gravy .. they need to change to a typical savory biscuit from a sweet crunchy one.the biscuits get a 2, its the first time I ever disliked biscuits n gravy due to the biscuits.. The eggs were good , how can you mess them up ? really my issue with them is by the time I got my bacon , which I ordered crispy back, I had to send them back to.get them closer to the way I order them which was crispy, my eggs have gotten cold. Honestly the bacon came back and still wasn't crispy, I think it's probably due to it being too thick, but this is a common problem at breakfast places with me.. I order crispy bacon and they bring it out floppy and not even close to crispy bacon. I recently decided to send it back which is something I used to never due but I'm tired of paying for something that isn't how I ordered it or close at least. Lastly was the French toast, I didn't like them, the flavor wasn't bad but they were too eggy, which to me is the only way ro ruin French toast is to soak it to much in the egg mix so when you cook it. It stays soggy and taste to much like egg whites.. I forgot I ordered plain white toast for my eggs and they only had thick greek toast which I believe is a rip off and seems like it's their way of charging you double for toast. I really wanted this experience to be good I used to eat here all the time..I'm not sure if I'll be back, at least for breakfast I won't be.. I need to come try the dinner service to be sure. But definitely not happy about my meal.. the server was nice, pleasant and attentive but she let them bring me my not crispy bacon which is why I didn't give them a 5 on the service.. servers are the last line of defense and they usually seem to let that floppy bacon get brought...

I don't know where to start. I went there last night with some friends for dinner. The restaurant looks really nice since the remodel. We all ordered our food and drinks. There was like only 4 tables with customers in the restaurant. The waiter was awesome he also doubled as the bartender. My stepbrother ordered some appetizers. They came out in 10 minutes are so. Then he made our drinks for us. I had the lemonade long island iced tea. To be honest I had better drinks at other places. Also, it was a $13 dollar drink so its left to be desired. So about 25 minutes later he brings out our soups to us. SMH They were all lukewarm. I was like SMH my friend sent it back and had him put it the microwave. I ordered a patty melt well done. My friend ordered a hamburger medium rare. I don't know what happened I got the medium rare meat, and my friend got the well-done burger. So I sent it back..... The food was ok to be honest for the prices they charge for everything I would expect better service and food. I hope the owner sees this review and understands this restaurant is in Mickinley Park NOT Lincoln Park or Lakeview. The prices they charge for everything the food and drinks should be top notch. To be clear I'm not being cheap I just expect better food and drinks if I am paying top dollar. As we left we are driving down Archer ave and went past Huck Finns they place was packed. A true hidden gem! From the service, cleanliness and the all important part which is the food, I was truly impressed with it all.

I went in with quite the appetite. I initially got a soup which was excellent and you can tell it wasn't sitting out all day. It was filling too! I then ordered the sloppy joe sliders to start. They were delicious though would like to try them with brioche buns out of flavor curiosity.

Then came the salad. Wow, every ingredient was fresh and perfectly proportioned. Not to mention it was really good! I don't ever order salads but I will definitely be getting one every time I visit from now on.

Finally got my Southside burger. This thing was not only filling it was cooked to perfection. It was very tasty and every ingredient complemented each other rather well for that satisfying flavor profile.

How can this place not be more popular? The service was top notch. You can tell whoever is in the kitchen takes pride in their craft. I highly recommend this place and plan on making it a weekly visit only because I don't live any closer to it. Definitely worth the drive. Do yourself a favor...
