When it comes to the type of machine you use to fix games, the higher the quality of the machine, the higher success rate of your games working after the process. I’ve done tons of research of a place that might be able to fix games that I’ve had for years that I couldn’t get to work and I’m not sure if anyone has a machine of this grade in the entire city of Chicago. There’s not many gems like this store anymore. I wanted to watch lord of the rings with my boyfriend tonight and sure enough, video strip had every dvd available to rent. It felt so nostalgic to me, especially watching something on dvd because you just don’t get to appreciate that kind of media anymore. I sat through the credits at the end and even enjoyed the title screen with its own unique design and special features because somehow it felt more special being on dvd. Owner was very nice. This place is a gem in Chicago! It's a classic video store with an unmatched selection of movies, especially horror and cult classics/rarities. The owner, Joe, is very knowledgeable and super friendly. He'll find whatever you're looking for, and he often has great deals. There's a nice selection of collectibles, new video games, 4K, TV shows, and local snacks, too.
