Nicky's Carry Outs — Restaurant in Chicago

I worked in Chicago for 10 yrs and often got lunch from Nicky's. By far the absolute best Italian beef I've ever had in my life! Huge sandwhich, for an unbelievable low price, the staff, always curtious and very friendly, i have even in fact made several special road trips from nw indiana all the way up there just to get a half doz to a dozen sandwhichs to bring back to my friends in Lake Station, In., where they were all floored at the quality, and quantity of the food! Haven't had one in about 4 yrs, so i am well overdue and planning another road trip! Funny part was when the elderly lady there, i think the owner, found out i was importing them back to indiana, she specially wrapped each sandwhich, lined a box with foil, i mean they did all they could to ensure they made the 45 min ride home, and everyone here was amazed! Can't say enough good things...

This Nickys I tried Once and will Never go back. My pop tasted like water.. had to wait awhile to drink my pop.. First inpressions not only with people but with Restaurants are Everything to me. The bathroom was not so clean . Usually you can tell a reataurant on how clean the bathroom is and i just know i wont go back to eat here.. my food was semi cold . The workers looked like they wers not in the mood.. no one smiling making you feel great but its ok. I Already go to The ORIGINAL NICKYS.. This nickys is Not the original. 6142 S. ARCHER IS THE ORIGINAL NICKYS... If you order from the one one archee you will be SATISFIED!!!! They are Always busy . Is worth the drive. There food is Delicious Hot and filling. I just was around the other nickys and thought it was the same.. Boy was I wrong!...

Let me tell y'all something!!! I was here very briefly as I waited for a ride. I didn't order anything but LET ME TELL Y'ALL! The first thing I noticed was the very clear and pleasant atmosphere! The next thing I noticed was the cashier taking orders so pleasant and polite to their customers! Lastly, I noticed their bomb menu!!! Looked good with a bomb prices!! They worked so fast and professionally it was really nice to see! I had to get their names Ann and Betty were the best! I'll be eating here soon, once I expand my diet again!! Until then, I'm telling everyone I know!!😁 Bravo ya'll! Keep up...
