The Movie Menu — Restaurant in Chicago

I struggled with this one because i really wanted to love it...i love the idea, staff was kind, service was on point. But...the food was extremely disappointing. I did not pay $80 per person for the movie re run...i paid for an enjoyable meal, but we did not receive it. We were given lukewarm cocktails, pretty sure it was kool aid with a splash of alcohol salty canned green beans, baked beans from the can, commercially purchased lukewarm potatoe salad, and an unknown meat with bbq sauce. Sigh, then a small piece of boxed cake. Overall, over priced, and i will not return. My suggestions, a chef , this meal could have been elevated on so many levels, but it truly missed the mark. Quite insulting meal.

Atmosphere was ok, but it was quite difficult to rate higher since we had to wait on the 1 bathroom which was accessed through the kitchen. Not sanitary.

Note to management: well done with choosing the staff, hire a chef, keep the kitchen clean, maybe a new venue with separate bathroom facilities.

Had my daughter 18th birthday celebration here. It was really nice. We watched Princess and the Frog (her request). The venue took care of EVERYTHING all the food, decorations, and party favors. There were special details throughout the night noticed. Like the drinks had her picture, the table mats, and banners. The food was more than enough. We didn't even cut the cake every one was too stuffed. There was a photographer who took photos throughout the night. I would highly recommend this place for a private event or to just catch one of the movies showing.

This is a fairly new business. Please give people some grace to work out the quirks to make it run more efficient. YES! There is only one washroom, and you have to wait your turn( not unheard of). Unfortunately you do have to pass through the kitchen to do so. However, they are making the best of their current location until things get better.

The Movie Menu is such a fun and unique spot! I tried their popcorn chicken with fries, and it was delicious—crispy, flavorful, and great for snacking while hanging out. The milkshake I ordered was rich and creamy, definitely a highlight. The atmosphere is playful with a cool movie theme, which makes it stand out from other casual eateries. The staff were friendly and made the experience even better—can’t wait to come back and try more items...
