Five Star — Local services in Chicago

If this review gets noticed, I would actually be more grateful than the person that is utilizing it, here is my reason why.

As a car enthusiast with some weird OCD for accuracy and quality - I was extremely skeptical and shopped around for months, daily - for the "perfect" installer not just in my local area, but in the city as a whole. I called numerous shops, individuals - all whom were pretty informative and gave me honest answers to my knowledge.

I met William of Five Star Mobile Electronics through a friend and through my various and numerous badgering of questions, concerns, and expressions of what I wanted to have within my vehicle.. the date was set.

Fast forward a week, I changed the date on him last minute, William said, "no problem!"

Arrived 30 minutes early, was promptly greeted and the install was underway. I was quoted about 5 hours of work, so I spent time in the local area enjoying the sights and sounds of the city, on a 30 degree day here in the city.

I called in a couple of times to see how the status was going, telling him no problem and no need to rush. He kept informing me in detail as far as what was being done, if he should do this, do that, how to do it (what the end results would be like if I did it a certain way, if he did a certain way, etc.), and patiently answered any last minute questions I had at the time.

Seven hours later, the vehicle was complete. Not only did I not have to walk about (my choice prior) 30 minutes back to his shop, him and his nephew picked us up and drove us back to the shop. William gave me a full walkaround and walkthrough of the work he did, showed me every option available done within the install. It worked perfect. Driving 45 minutes home and then testing it out, I had a few questions (not concerns) and he promptly still answered my phone call and texted me additional information.

The simplest thing I can say here is, there is no shortcut for honest and hard work, for integrity and character. Many shops will be more than happy to upsell you the "best" (and most expensive) unit, but William takes the time to listen to you describe exactly what you waht, and will give you options as far as what to choose from, whether it be on a budget, security, or convenience standpoint. No pressure by any means, just very informative. William has earned my business and I will be more than happy to tell my friends and family of his work.

I went here to get a replacement remote for my remote starter. I had been to two other places that told me 400 and 500 to replace the entire remote starter. They could not find the replacement remote for my car because it was outdated and therefore they would have to replace withe whole system.

Took my car in for an auto remote starter. Car was there for 5 hours and when I picked it up, I was very disappointed that my ignition wouldn't manually start with the key.
