Velly Pizza — Restaurant in Chico

I asked the man on the phone what the “velli sauce” on the “velli pizza” listed on Uber eats tasted like. He kind of paused and then said he had to be right back and put me on hold. A minute later he replied that vellys pizza is actually chicagos pizza, which is a part of krispy krunchy chicken, and they just get the sauces and toppings from the velly’s franchise and cook it.

I was confused but just replied “oh I understand. Do you at least know is it like a tomato sauce, bbq sauce, or something else?” And he said that every pizza they serve has a different sauce and they just cook the pizzas.

He then tried to get me to order by reading my card number over the phone. I explained that I was using Uber eats because I have a gift card. He replied that I can order with Uber eats, or online on the velly pizza website, but not to use DoorDash because there is some issue and they won’t receive my order.

I reiterated that I was using Uber eats to order because I had a gift card, as the man on the phone simultaneously tried cutting me off & encouraging me to order on the phone and they would deliver it themselves.

By the end of the call, I had more questions than answers. I’m giving 5 stars because it was the oddest customer service interaction I’ve had in awhile, and the food at least sounds good, so i...

I saw a notification from {another format} that this place was getting great reviews. I love pizza. I love Indian food. Went in for lunch. Very friendly owners, very clean, prices are very reasonable. I couldn't decide between butter chicken pizza and tandoori chicken, so I got both. Each pizza is obviously made with care. The toppings are so evenly spread out you can tell that they take their time. It looks like they were going to use it for a photo for their menu. It looks perfect. Both pizzas were fantastic.

I was cautious when she asked how hot I wanted them, "Mild, medium, or spicy". At some places "Mild" means "You won't go to the hospital" but medium and spicy mean, "You're on your own. Put the TP in the freezer." I went mild on one and medium on the other. Both were delicious and didn't overpower the flavors.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. I can't wait to try...

I decided to order pizza after reading all of the rave 5 star reviews and seeing the great pictures of their pizza they made years ago and recently. I decided to try them instead of my regular pizza from “D.mos”…I instead got the Chicago style from Velly Pizza on the thin crust extra well cooked. I like crispy cheese and I was not disappointed. It arrived on time and it was perfectly made to ordered and looked just as great as the others that have commented in here. I can’t wait to order again and try the butter chicken also extremely highly reviewed that Everyone has been boasting about! Mmmm super yummy and just as good as the reviews show them to be!! Just look at the pics from the reviews. I love to air fry pieces for breakfast the next day or pan fry to heat with a bit of olive oil! Italian / Indian food is always better...
